Kate's POV...

My eye widened in surprise, pushing Zane away immediately, Josh was there staring at us looking as if the whole world just collapsed in front him

I didn't know what or how to go about what was going to happen next, this wasn't how I wanted Josh to know about my feelings for Zane, this wasn't how we were supposed to end things, I should have just broken up with him when I had the chance

"Josh !!! This isn't what it looks like, "I said reaching out for him but he only took a step back, then another bumping into Emma, who was staring at Zane and me with both shock and disappointment, I felt like the most horrible person

"Josh"– I called out again, moving closer to him noticing Zane's eyes flash with hatred and anger as he looked at me. A few moments later he put one his neutral mask on, turned around and started walking away, but Josh stopped him.

"And where do you think you are going, "Josh hissed at him.

"And who is going to stop me?. move now or I would do it for you," Zane said smacking his arm away.

"You are not going anywhere, "Asshole."

"Josh, let him go"I pleaded feeling so conflicted. I still had no idea what was going on between Zane and me, but I didn't want Josh to interpret this scene as......As....... Oh God, I didn't even know what it was right now, but I know this wasn't right, and the guilt rushed through me with full force

Josh didn't even look or pay any attention to me, he just stared at Zane, clearly intending to fight him

"This is bad, so bad.....

"You were messing with my girlfriend and_

He didn't do anything, Josh. It was all —"

"Just shut it Kate", I don't need you to speak or defend me, his voice dripping with animosity, getting into Josh's face." I don't fucking care what you think of me. This is between you and your...... Zane turned to look me with hostility in his eyes. "Girlfriend," he spat out —I looked away in shame, and I had to give myself a pep talk that everything would be alright, even though I know deep down, it won't.

"So you now know I don't have any intention of staying here and watching you "Love birds" quarrel. Now move !"Zane shouted pushing Josh so hard that he stumbled against the side stool, which moved and crashed into four pieces

"What's your problem Zane, you can't treat him that way," Emma hit his shoulder violently, blocking his way

Oh damn Emma, "this none of your business," so fucking shut up, "Zane said grabbing her arm, and pushing her to the side so hard she ended to the floor

"Zane, what's your problem, "I said rushing to help Emma out ."How can you push a girl like that? why are you been so aggressive?

He didn't say a word, he just started walking to the door — Zane has already reached the door when he turned around, staring daggers at me ." I am aggressive? So, it is okay for Emma to hit me, but when I push her off so I can walk away, I am the one been aggressive? he shook his head, dashing out of room, the look I saw in his eyes sent shivers down my spine making me feel miserable for the mess I have created

This was more like karma kicking me in the butt because everything was collapsing like a tower of cards, I was actually waiting for the right time and place to tell Josh everything, but certainly never thought it would be like this
