Hours passed by and I was getting worried Zane wasn't back yet, a lot of negative thoughts were running through my mind.

Was he hurt?

Could his father had killed him?

"No he is his father, he can't kill his son.

'Ugh', the uncertainty was killing me I needed to know what had happened to him

Hi guy, do you know when Zane is coming back," I asked one of the huge men guiding me

As he was about to leave the police came busting in shooting, we manage to hide Zane protecting me with his body

Soon enough the gun shoots died down. As Zane guided me up

"Are you okay," He asked as his eyes scanned me physically for any bruises

"Yes, am fine," I said brushing off the dust on me

"Are you sure you weren't hurt," he asked overly concerned

" I said am fine, I just want to get out of here," I replied a bit harshly

A few minutes later, we were escorted out of the building to an ambulance by a policeman

Christian walked over to us looking so happy to see us

Thank God you guys are okay," Chris said hugging us really tight

"Chris, were you the one who called the police?" Zane asked him

Yea I did, "Chris nodded

And thank God, I did in the time before you two were roasted or better yet killed by his big bad wolf of a father," He said smiling

"Thanks, man but how did you find us, "Zane asked

"Chris giggled a bit, you remember the time I called you earlier you didn't sound like your usual annoying self, so I knew something was up. So I track your car to this place and then called the police

"Smart right," he said obviously basking in his own glory

Thanks so much, Chris, I managed to say obviously still shaken about what happened

"Anytime Katie, "he smiled back at me, damn I still hate it when he calls me that

"Minutes later one of the policemen came up to us," We lost him, he managed to get away from us, am really sorry about this but we are tiring our best to apprehend him," the man said walking away immediately

"An instant fear hit me and my legs suddenly gave out, he was still out there and he could come for me at anytime

I was shaking in absolute fear and panic

"Hey I got you, it's all over now. He won't dare to come near you again I would be here to protect you always, "Zane said in the most calming voice that took all my worries away

"I think it's best you take her home, she needs rest," Chris told Zane

"Yea, Zane led me to his car gently placing me in the passenger's seat as if I was going to break at any minute

"Closing the door he ran to the driver's seat starting the engine and immediately speeding off

That was intense, don't you think
I can't believe Zane was formally known as Cal

I really don't blame him tho; if you had a father like that you would change your name over and over again
