Chapter two

"Wake up! Wake up!"

"5 more minutes" I groan and pull my blanket up to cover my face. I feel tiny foots all over my body when one of the paw hit my stomach, I instantly sit up. Lucifer were sitting on the edge of my bed licking his paw. He came towards me and rest on my laps. I heard banging and clanging of pots in the kitchen and let out a yawn. "Jeez, who is making such a ruckus early in the morning?" I pick up Lucifer and put him aside to let him get the full excess to my bed and slowly make my way out of bed to see what the heck is happening downstairs.

"Woah, Elaine! Watch the hair!" I peek my head out to see Elaine and Sunwoo baking something since the both of them are now covered in flour. I let out a chuckle and smile. Elaine saw me and wave at me, "Morning sleepyhead! Cmon help us bake a cake!"

"Uh, okay?" I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Bilbo is standing beside me with two of his paw on the kitchen island to support his back feet. "What's the occasion?"

"It's Dad's birthday! Mum asked us to bake him a cake while she and Dad went out to make love."

"Birthday-" Sunwoo throw the flour at my face and I cough out the flour that went straight in my mouth, "I- hey! Sunwoo! What was that?"

"Oops, sorry, I thought you were about to say something illegal? And I think I mixed it too hard that the flour came out." My mouth dropped to the floor when he said that and I quickly grabbed the packet full of flour and throw it at him. Elaine is now laughing hard at Sunwoo as he is only standing there looking like the next Casper. "You are going to regret doing that to me, Penny"

"What are you kids doing?" The three of us turn to see who was that that is talking to us. Grandma came down the stairs with a face of disappointment. "I told you to quickly bake the cake while Grandpa and I decorate the dining room. What have you been doing? Throwing flour at each other? Penny! I expected more from you"

"I- i just woke up and they were already throwing flour at each other." Grandma seems unpleased so obviously she is not taking my explanation. I roll my eyes and start cleaning the mess up. Elaine help too and Grandma scoff and her footsteps were getting softer. "Pen, sorry you had to get a scolding from Grandma."

"It's fine. The eldest have to tale responsibility right?" Elaine nods looking at Sunwoo who is now looking down in embarrassment. From the way he does that, it's pretty obvious that he doesn't take responsibility whenever Elaine does something bad. The three of us ended up cleaning everything, including the in progress batter than Sunwoo made. Grandma told us to throw it away and just buy a cake from the nearest bakery. Elaine and I volunteer to buy the cake since Sunwoo sucks at choosing which cake is nicer.

"Come! I'll show you the way!" I nod and trail behind Elaine. The streets is very very quiet. Unlike America, everywhere you go is so busy. People chattering, cars honking, birds chirping, here, is dead silent. Not that I don't like it but like its very quiet and eerie. "Here we are" I nod and follow Elaine in to the bakery.

"Hey Elaine! What's for it today?"

"Birthday cake! For my dad. Oh, Kevin, meet my sister! She is the one I told you about that. The one from America!" He looks at me and gave me one if the warmest smile I have ever seen. "Hi! I'm Kevin."

"Penny." I searched around looking for the cake aisle to pick from. There were various type of cake. From the 2 layered cake to a 5 layered one! I'm sure Dad would love a normal blackberry cake or something. Nothing to fancy or out of the extraordinary. I search again when I got startled by the sudden loud bang from the door. "Someone is angry today?" Kevin smile while looking at the man who just entered. I decided to eavesdrop their conversation.

"Of course I am! Kevin, let me ask you a question. Would you like it when someone turn down your offer on stuff"

"What the? Hyunjae! Seriously? Not infront of the two girls!"

"What two girls? I only see Elaine?" Kevin points at me and he turn around and smirks. I mean, I didn't see it fully but I can see it from the corner of my eyes that he is smirking. And I feel a cold shiver running down my spine. I shake my feeling off and look at them. "Huh?" Was the only word that I manage to say.

"Damn Sunwoo, he didn't told me his elder sister is this hot"

"That because he didn't. Seriously Hyunjae? Dont think my sister is that easy" He backs up and shrug. "What, cant deny it that she is hot,"

"Penny! Have you picked a cake that Dad would like?" I nod, ignoring the fact that Hyunjae is staring at me like a hungry animal. Elaine came to me and I pointed the blackberry cake. "Of course, blackberry! Dad loves blackberry cake!" I smile and asked Kevin to packed the cake. After packing and putting the candles in, we went ahead and payed Kevin. Hyunjae stops right infront of the door and smirks at me. "Can I have your number?" Love too sweetie but I don't have a phone right now.

"She is not available. So piss off okay Hyunjae?" She drags me away, out of the shop with the cake in the bag and walk past Hyunjae. Jeez what was that all about?

We didn't bother talking about what just happened in the bakery. And I don't wanna mention about it too, seeing that Elaine is quite pissed. Once we reached the door, Sunwoo came to greet us but to only be pushed aside by Elaine. "What's up with her?"

"One word: Hyunjae"

"Oh. Oh snap. Be right back!" He dashes to our room and I head straight to the kitchen to put in the cake in the fridge. I decided to take my phone out and start scrolling through my instagram page, that's when my heart started aching. I force myself to let out a smile when I saw a picture of my best friend together with my ex boyfriend. I sigh and close my phone to not let myself torture just because of that stupid image. My phone vibrated when I saw a text message from Dad.

How is my baby doing there in Korea?

I'm good Dad :). Mum re-married. I have a new sibling. Bilbo is still the same last time i meet him.
Everything is fine:)

What about Sunwoo?
Is he growing taller?

He seems more happier Dad

I'm glad your mother gives him everything he wants.
