Chapter thirty four

What am I going to wear? A dress? No, too flashy. A t-shirt with leggings? No, they might say I am so worn down.

"Just wear something comfortable! Jeez, I can hear what you're thinking!" I grab whatever looks good and put it on. I mean, I did wear clothes just now for breakfast but that was just a T-shirt and shorts. "Why are you wearing a hoodie? It's 65 degrees out there!"

"No, I check that the weather is going to cold! Rain, check! So it's best to bring a hoodie so I don't catch a cold!" Hyunjae knocks on our door and Amy opens it. He was also wearing a hoodie with jeans. Amy looks over to me then to Hyunjae and leaves. "We aren't doing anything!" Amy squint her eyes and nods, giving the hand signal of 'I'm watching you two', Hyunjae smiles and sit with me on the bed, putting me on top of him. He looks so innocent yet so deadly.

"Are you feeling better now?" I nod and wraps my arms around his shoulders. He snuggles to the crook of my neck and I could feel him smile. "I miss the kids," Hyunjae scoffs and look up, "Soon, you will miss your own kids," When he said that I swear to god, my cheeks just went super red and I got off of him. I turn around clearly feeling very flustered and walk out of the door, in shock.

"Out, cmon everyone out!"

Amy was already out of the house and was chilling by the swing. Hyunjae is running down the stairs and is wearing his shoes. I started up the engine of the car and got in with Amy. Hyunjae took the seat next to mine. "Don't give me that look, Hyunjae," "Oh for crying out loud, I'll drive! You lovebirds are getting on my nerves," I elbowed Hyunjae and the both of us took the passenger seat. I typed in the address in the GPS and Amy starts to drive us there.

It didn't take that long to reach the yoghurt place. It was about ten to fifteen minutes drive from my house to that place. It was still early so we decided to walk around the place and did some window shopping. We went inside a clothing store and of course, Amy always goes to the guys' section. It's not wrong to wear guy's clothing. As long as you're happy and comfortable, then that is all that matters.

"Penny! Does this looks good on me?" A blazer jacket! Definitely Amy's style. I nod and told her to put it on. I asked Hyunjae to window shop on his own while I attend to Amy. Amy comes out of the changing room with the blazer on top of the hoodie she was wearing. "It looks good on you!" Amy smiles and took it off and put it back on the hanger. "Are you going to buy it?" Amy shakes her head and put it back to wherever she took it from.

"Not enough money?"

"Don't want it," I nod and went to find Hyunjae but was surprised to find him in a crowd full of girls. "Is Hyunjae that famous or something?"

"If he is famous for his looks then sure," We walk to where Hyunjae is and Amy pulls him out of the crowd. Amy clears her throat and smile, "This man right here has a girlfriend so please, move along," The girls were all not happy about it and were probably disappointed. But hey, do I blame them? If I were not to date a handsome guy, I would be sad too no, I would be devastated. I grab Hyunjae by his arms and we went out of the store, empty-handed. We went to store next door and again, Amy heads to the guy's section. I should probably buy for her a blazer jacket if she wanted it so badly. And I was right, she picks a blazer jacket and tried it on.

"Amy, give me that. I'll buy it for you." Amy's eyes widen in shock and she couldn't even process it what was happening. I paid off the cashier and hands over the bag to Amy. "But, Penny! That blazer was expensive." I patted Amy's shoulders and shake my head, "Anything for a friend is never expensive! Let's make our way to the yoghurt store!" They nod and we went out of the store and make our way to the yoghurt store. I scan the place to find Bridget and Timothy but I don't see them at all.

"Find a place near the window," Amy found a seat near the window and the seats were couch seats. Two long couches for a group of five people to hang out, it fits. "Any yoghurt for you guys?" We shake our head and Hyunjae nods and went to buy his own cup of yoghurt. He seems lost so I helped him. "Which flavours do you want?"

"Chocolate and Plain yoghurt!" I nod and took the big cup so that the three of us could share. I then press the button of Chocolate and Plain yoghurt and place my cup underneath it. We then move over to the toppings section. I pick Oreos as always and Hyunjae picks this bubble burst that is flavoured strawberry. I paid for the yoghurt and then walk back to our seat. The door to the yoghurt place opens and I saw both Bridget and Timothy running towards me. I stand up and hug them both.

"Oh my god! Penny? I can't believe you are here!" Timothy hugs and me we did the kiss greeting. You know like how they did the cheeks to cheeks greeting. I could feel Hyunjae at the back glaring at him. "Oh?" I sit with them, since Amy and Hyunjae are comfortable with each other, I let them do whatever they want. There are times where I caught them whispering to each other and their eyes were like saying, 'I am gonna kill both of them'. "This is Hyunjae and Amy," They shake hands and smile at each other. Bridget leans into whispers, "Okay that guy is hot. What's his number?"

"He is off-limits," Bridget rolls her eyes at Amy and Amy glares at her. "He is your boyfriend? Ew," Okay, hold on. Since when is Bridget like this? Even Timothy got shocked.

"No, but he is-"

"I'm Penny's boyfriend. Sorry," Bridget looks at me with disbelief and her face gives the disgusted shocked face. Timothy punched her shoulders from behind me and I was definitely disgusted by her actions. I know Bridget's obsession with boys is just crazy but I didn't know she would be like this. Bridget rolls her eyes and looks at me. "So you left Canada, left my brother heartbroken to be with this dude? Seriously Penny? Now seeing you makes me furious instead of happy because it reminds me of how much you have broken my brother!" Bridget storms off and walk out of the door leaving everyone at the table, shocked and confused.

"I'm happy you're here! I'm sorry Bridget hasn't been herself these days because her parents are getting a divorce. Let's forget about her and enjoy our day!" We nod and made small conversations with each other. I find out that Timothy is gay. After so long of keeping it in, he finally confronted his mother that he is gay. Sure, his mother didn't accept it at first, but slowly she came around and accepted the fact that her son is gay. I'm glad that he came out. "Ah! I'm so happy for you! So do you have a boyfriend?"

Timothy nods and showed us a picture of him and his boyfriend. Amy smiles, "Man, you guys look cute together. How long have you been together?"

"Not long! Hm, a few months back? We don't do monthsary shit so that's why I don't remember." I tease Timothy. Timothy's eyes then went sparkling when he saw a boy came in. "Baby!" All of us turned our direction to the guy he called baby and smile, his boyfriend came to join us. Of course, Hyunjae is weird out about this, I could tell but he didn't want to offend Timothy so he just kept a poker face on. "Hi babe," They kissed and sat beside me, snuggling each other.

"Oh babe, this is my bestie, Penny, and her bestie, Amy and her boyfriend, Hyunjae!" The guy smiles at us and shakes hands with Hyunjae, "Hey, I'm Adam,"

We made small conversations here and there and I got to know that Adam is one year older than him. By sunset, we made our way home. After we bid goodbye to Adam and Timothy, we walk back to the car when I felt someone was staring at me from the back. I turn around and all I could see was just cars and trees. "The heck is wrong with you?"

"I felt someone staring at me," Amy looks around and shakes her head, "There is no one here, except for us."

I look around once more and Hyunjae got out of the car. "It's getting dark." I nod and get in the car with him. Amy decided to drive back home and when we reached home, we saw the lights were switched on. Dad must be home. We open the door to see it was all set up with balloons and banners. "Surprise! Welcome, Home Penny!"
