Chapter thirteen

Yesterday was such a blur but I know we had fun. Excluding the guys and the water polo stuff. But for me and the girls, excluding Elaine. We played truth or dare and we ended up having some alcohol involved. I'm pretty sure Elaine had to take care of us cause I know we were super wasted. I woke up with a groan and my head was spinning like crazy. I rub my eyes and saw Amy and Ellie were in super-duper horrible sleep positions. I shake my head and went ahead to shower first. After showering, I wake the girls up.

"5 more minutes, please," I chuckled and drags Amy's leg towards the bathroom. "Oi, oi, oi! Don't be dragging me to the bathroom! I can walk by myself,"

"Then get your fatass moving or we will be late for school, use my clothes for today." Amy sat up straight and stretch herself, "Including your undergarments and bra?" I froze. I just realise they don't have any extra undergarments or bra and their swimming outfits yesterday was mine too. Gosh, this is so unhygienic but there really is no choice. "Yes, including them. Hurry up and shower!"

I wake Elaine up next and then followed by Ellie, they had to use the downstairs bathroom so they had to carry their clothes for the day down with them. After settling the girls, I settle myself and decided to wear a floral dress with a jacket to top it off. "It's been long since I do any makeup and curl my long hair so let's do it, only for today," I put on some makeup and curl my brunette hair. "So dolled up and for what?" I turn around and saw Amy naked!

"Oh my goodness! Amy! Wear some clothes please!" Amy decided to go for a laid back outfit which is an oversized shirt and ripped jeans. "Oh, my parents are coming home today so I wanna look pretty."

"You mean your stepdad and mum?" I nod, "They are technically my parents right?" Amy shrugs and walks away, "I don't really care about this step-parent's shit. Usually, if I do have a step mum, I'll just call her by her name. I'll never get used to calling her mum or mother,"

"What if she has been your mother for like 2-3 years?" Amy rubs her chin, "then, I'll see if I'm ready to call her mum or mother besides, they can't force us to say it if we aren't comfortable with them yet." I nod and walk out of my room to let Amy get ready. I slide down the stairs and laugh, "Dude! Doesn't your thighs hurt sliding down the stairs?"

"Nope! I'm wearing shorts inside," Sunwoo scrunched his nose, "But still-" "Eat your food, Sunwoo!" He looks up to Grandma and stuffs his food in his mouth. Ellie and Elaine are at the dining table, enjoying their pancakes and I take the seat beside them. Amy soon joins in and all of us quickly eat our food. "5 more minutes kids, gobble down the last pieces of food!" I quickly eat whatever's left on my plate and wear my long stockings and put on my high cut converse. We quickly wear our shoes and join Grandma in her car.

"Amy, Ellie? Do you guys have a driver's license?" Amy puts her hand up and grandma handed her the keys, of course, grandma would love to feel like royalty too since she is always the one driving us to school. "Buckle your seatbelt people, I like to go fast,"

"Not too fast, Amy or I'll die of a heart attack," The rest of us agree with Grandma and Amy just laugh, "I'm kidding, I'll take it slow." Once Amy started driving, the rest of us pretty much did our own thing. I asked Amy to turn up the radio and the song playing was Twice's more and more so all of us started singing to it.

You're gonna say more, more, more, more, more and more 

We pretty much just jam our way to school with Grandma just marking papers and can't be bothered to entertain us. Once we reached school, Grandma wanted to go out first since she is late for her meeting reason was Amy took the longest route to school. "Penny, Elaine and Sunwoo, remember don't be late."

"Late for what?" Sunwoo looks at me after alighting the car.

"Oh, mum and dad are coming home today," Sunwoo's eyes went big and his whole expression just basically said shit "What's up?" Sunwoo force a smile and scratch his head, "I kinda failed my test papers and I don't really wanna show dad, he is kinda strict about scores,"

"Screw it, be a man and receive a good scolding from your dad. Aim to do better so you won't have to listen to him nagging at you," Amy winks and locks the car before passing the car keys to me. "And what if I keep failing?"

"Fail 7 times come back up 8, one day, you gonna do well for your tests, exams assignments. So don't be too discouraged now bro." Sunwoo looks at me and I returned him with a smile, "Amy has a point, just do well for your next tests or exams. Even if you fail, take this as a learning point alright, besides you are not gonna be a failure your whole life," Sunwoo smiles and the five of us part ways. We bid goodbyes to each other and I make my way to the lab for my biology lesson which I always find it very easy and exciting.

"Alright class, today we are going to dissect a frog to see the insides of their body. Their digestive systems and so on. I'll choose your partners and then we begin. First up, Penny and Changmin!"

Changmin? Who the heck is that? Gosh, I really need to start making friends in my class. I don't even interact with them and I barely even know their names. A boy with reddish hair came at me and smile, "Hi! I'm Changmin! Nice to meet you!" I smile and shakes his hands, "Penny, and nice to meet you too! So um, have you dissect a frog before?"

"Nope! But looks fun!" Fun? How is dissecting a frog looks fun? I gulp and let Changmin handle the dissecting part while I do the taking notes part. Just then a loud thud could be heard and all of us turn around to see Juyeon putting his hands up, surrender and points at the student who fainted, "Oh Kevin, again?" The whole starts laughing and continued doing their work. "So are you Sunwoo's sister?"

"Yeah, how'd you know?" Changmin smiles at me before putting away the knives in the sink, "I saw you walking in the school together earlier today, and I'm a friend of Sunwoo. We are pretty close," I nod and Changmin smiles at me, "All done! I help you with the notes," I nod and hands him the worksheets and before we knew it, we are done with our work. Changmin was about to give me a high five when I stopped him and points to his hands, "Frog blood!" He laughs and washes his hand with soap. "Five?" I nod and return back his five. We then finish our notes and submit them to the teacher.

"So tell me about yourself, Penny," I look at Changmin and place my hands on my chin. What is there to tell him? He must have known like everything about me besides, he and Sunwoo are close friends. "What's there to say? The principal is my Grandmother, I'm basically I don't know rich? My mum and my stepdad-" Changmin places his fingers on my lips to shut me up. I got flustered and he then removes his fingers from my lips before sighing.

"I know all of that, just tell me about you. Why'd you come here? What made you move back to Seoul?" Oh? Those kinds of questions. I never thought of why I came back to Seoul. Maybe I was bored of Canada. "I'm not quite sure myself. Maybe because I miss Seoul?" Changmin shakes his head, "Not convincing thou, you probably came back here because something back at home happened and you want to run away from it. I can read right through you," My eyes widen. How, how does he know something back home happened that made me come back here.

"No worries, I won't force you to tell me about it. We aren't close enough to be telling secrets. But if you do tell me, Sunwoo nor Elaine has to know about it." Just as soon as Changmin was about to leave, I grabbed his wrist. Maybe I do need someone to talk about this with. He might not fit the criteria but at least I have someone to talk about it. He looks at me and sits back down on his stool.

"Something did happen back in Canada. And it wasn't because of love,"

Hi hi! First of all, thank you so so much for reading my lame ass story! I wrote this for fun to kill time but stopped halfway because I don't know what to write anymore. But because this story was gaining attention, I decided to write it back!
