Chapter thirty one

"What?"

"They know about the video, it doesn't look good. It looks like they are hating on you even more," Amy cracks her knuckles and rolls her eyes. "Those assholes are getting on my nerves." Hyunjae nods and agrees with Amy.

"How does Ben not know about this?"

"Ben hates them. He knows the both of them is a thing, but he doesn't want to get involved with it. He doesn't know that they were the one that killed Abby." I sigh, this is getting more complicated and I am frustrated about this. I could tell Amy and Hyunjae were frustrated about it too. "What now?" I ended the call with Nic and called Elaine. It's probably night time there so I think it should be fine to call them. I press on Elaine's number and press call.

"Hello? Penny?"

"Yeah, hi, I'm emailing you a video later could you maybe pay a visit to Ben and show him the video tomorrow?" It's best to let Ben knows about this. Abby is his people. I know he doesn't care about her death but Abby means something to him even though he doesn't show it. "Why? After what I did to him, I don't think he would want to meet me or Sunwoo. Because we stabbed him?"

Right! I totally forgot about Elaine and Sunwoo did to Ben, "Then go with Younghoon or Kevin. Or bring both of them. He needs to see the video. Best of luck to you," I could hear Elaine sighs and she eventually agreed to it. I ended the call and the three of us look at each other. It's not even late in the afternoon and problems are already pilling up. Dad cleared his throat and look at us. "Why don't the three of you go out and have fun? Watch movie or something, let your mind free or something." We agree to it and take a seat at the front porch. Amy and I sit at the swing and Hyunjae take a seat at the couch.

"I rather sit here then go out. Pen, your situation is getting more complicated than before. I thought you wanted to just meet Anthony and clear your name? How did that, became Anthony and Sarah into lovers to us finding out who killed Abby to us getting involved with the police?" I shrug and smile. I don't know either but my goal to clear my name is still on my number one list.

Hyunjae sighs and joins us on the swing. "Does that mean we have to get back to Korea?" I shake my head, "Since we got caught up in this, might as well finish this and fly back to Korea," They nod and look at the passerby that walks past. I saw a car pull up from across the street and out came a guy. He has blonde hair with highlights. He seems buffed up as his shirt seems to stick to his body. We made eye contact and I look away.

He smiles at me and waves at me. Hyunjae saw it happened and glares at him. He then makes his way to us and I could tell Amy is already tensed up. "Hello, I have never seen you guys before. Did you guys just moved here?" Amy shakes her head and clicked her tongue at him. I could tell she doesn't want him near us. "What do you want? Leave us," His eyes widen and nods. He waves goodbye at us and walks away. I nudged Amy and glares at her. "You don't have to be so mean to him, he probably wants to make friends."

"Friends? You sure your lover wants to make friends with him?" I look over to Hyunjae who was glaring at him from the back. I intertwine our hands together and his face softens. "Just you, I only want just you," He smiles and pulls me in for a kiss on the cheeks.

"You guys are the one that should be going out and have a date. You know, spend more time together. You guys are a couple right?" I look over at Hyunjae. I mean I don't know what to label us, to be honest. Yeah, we hold hands, kiss each other on the cheeks, hug, you know do what couples do, but I never think of us being a couple, to be honest. "I am gonna assume you guys aren't seeing that Hyunjae just look away from you," I nod and Amy leaves the two of us alone.

"So, do you want to go on a date?" I shrug and he stands up and held out for my hand. I look up to him and takes his hand. We hopped in the car and Hyunjae drove us out of here to go to the nearest Starbucks shop. Hyunjae being the gentleman he is, he opens the car door for me and I thanked him by giving a kiss on the cheeks. His cheeks went like 50 shades of pink. I giggle and walk in the store to find us a seat. I found a nice seat near the window and wait for Hyunjae to come by. "What drink do you want? Ice Tea? or Frappe?" I look to the menu and replied with tea. He nods and head to the counter and pay for the drinks that I ordered. After paying, he waited for them at the side.

Dude, don't forget to email the video to Elaine!

Yeah! I know! I'm on your computer now.
You have so many files and pictures of your friends.
Turns out the guy that live upfront was your ex!
And you pretended not to know him!

"Who you texting? Looks important," I smile at Hyunjae as he puts down the drinks that he bought. "Amy, just to remind her to send the video to Elaine," He nods and takes the seat beside me so the both of us is looking out at the window and enjoy the scenery. He then leans his head on my shoulders and sighs, "I am glad to have you in my life," I look at him and smile. "What's the sudden occasion?"

"I have this dying question to ask you. Remember that I said, after five dates, we will officially become girlfriend and boyfriend?" I nod, remembering those words that he said the other day. He let out a sigh and looks up to me. I could tell he is very nervous, his hands that is in my hands is wet because he is sweating. "You don't have to nervous about it, whatever you want to say, just say it." He sits up and looks at me in the eye.

"Penny. I love you from the day where started hanging out, it's always been you, I can't keep quiet about this so, if you agree to it, would you be my girlfriend?"
