Chapter eleven

The day went by quickly, and it was already the end of the day. I was waiting for Ellie and Amy to put their books in the locker. "There she is daddy! She is the one that broke my wrist!"

Amy slams her locker and looks at the blondie up and down, "Jeez, calling for backup now, Serenity? Seriously? Where do you even pick this dude from? The trash? He stinks," I pushed Amy behind me before she could do anything to hurt that little prick. "Shut up bitch," Amy points a middle finger at her and glares.

Ellie came running to us since her locker was at the end of the hallways and smile at the guy. "Hey, uncle, what brings you here?" He looks right at Ellie and scoffs, "Don't your dare uncle me, I am ashamed to have you as my niece," Ellie was shocked and slowly backs away while looking down. He, then turn his direction at me and I swear his hands were so ready to hit me on the face. I close my eyes ready to be getting hit on but when I re-opened my eyes, I saw Sunwoo and his friends standing in front of us. Hyunjae was there too.

The sheriff's hand was being held on tight by Sunwoo, "Sorry sir, the school is a gun-free zone, and it's a safe space. Your weapon is not welcome here." He scoffs and glares at Sunwoo, "I'm the sheriff here! I am allowed to do whatever I want," Hyunjae steps in and shakes his head and points to do the 'no weapon in school' sign right above the lockers. "Sir, this is a school, we have our own rules to follow. It would be much appreciated if you could follow the rules."

Just then grandma came out of her office to see what's the commotion about. The sheriff explains how I twisted her daughter's wrist and that it's broken and how Sunwoo and Hyunjae are rude to him. He is getting on my nerves and Sunwoo could sense it too. "Your daughter started it first, and my sister did what any other people would do, self-defense. Why don't you teach your daughter some manners first before you try to even pinpoint people's mistakes when you aren't even doing a good job at your job. Besides, your the sheriff or the head police whatever your position is, show a good example, will you? Everyone is staring." Grandma sighs and she knows what she has to do.

"Alright students, be my eyes and ears today, oh, and also record this, please. Now, sheriff? The school is apologizing for what happened to your daughter, and I am apologizing on behalf of my grandchildren but they are right, we have our own rules to follow, your daughter started it first and it was self-defense. Hyunjae recorded the whole thing and Serenity." She flips her hair and leans in closer to what grandma has to say, "You, are expelled. Thank you, now run along students,"

The sheriff walks away clearly embarrassed by all this leaving Serenity behind. "Fuck you!" Serenity pushes Amy and she landed on her bum. Now that's gonna hurt. "No, fuck you, man! The school is tired of how you treated everyone here! Leave before I break another one of your wrists," Amy stood up and Serenity started pulling Amy's hair. Ellie and I were shocked so we tried to broke off the fight. Let me tell you it wasn't pretty.

Somehow, mine and Ellie's hair got pulled too. What is up with girls fighting always involves pulling of hair!? I look at Hyunjae for help and he sighs before pulling Serenity away. "Baby, she tried to kill me! Do something, please,"

"No, enough already! Serenity, leave, please. You are not welcome here anymore. And us, we are officially over"

Amy spits at Serenity and it landed on her face. "Okay, Amy enough. Let's go home," Amy then did the slitting of throat action back at her. We decided to hang out at my house to relieve the tensions we faced today. "Can you calm down?"

Amy glares at me and sighs, "I can't okay! Who knows what will happen to you? To us! What if she ends up slitting my throat first? What if she bans me from leaving the country?" Right, Amy is from England and Ellie is from Australia. Ellie's been quiet since just now. Ellie looks at me and smiles. If the Sheriff is Ellie's uncle, and Ellie is Australia how come the uncle is working here? "You know I can hear your thoughts right Pen?" I smile and scratch the back of my head.

"My uncle married a Korean woman here. This is why he is here," Amy scoffs and plops herself on my bed, along with Earl and Lucifer. They came to like Amy and Ellie come around so they have gotten comfortable around them. Bilbo lays down beside me and all of us just stare at the ceiling except for Ellie. She still doesn't like laying on the floor or on someone's bed. "What do you think will happen to us?"

"Serenity better leaves us alone, I don't want her to come for me or anybody," We shiver at the thought of Serenity coming after us with her annoying voice. "Nope. No way. I can't deal with another maniac." We all laugh but soon, our waves of laughter were interrupted by my ringtone. I check up to see the caller ID and it was dad. I excuse myself from the girls and went downstairs to answer the call.

"Hey, dad!" I wave at him and he returns back the wave. His eyes look sad. Is he alright? Did something bad happen to him? He looked like he has been crying for days. His eyes were swollen, his face was puffy. "Are you okay dad? What's wrong?" He sighs and took a deep breath. Your grandmother, passed away yesterday.

My jaw dropped and so did my tears. Not a single word could come out of my mouth. I was in shock. "Wh-why didn't you tell me, Dad?" He wipes away his tears and sighs, it was night time for you, I didn't want to disturb your sleeping hours. I'm sorry honey, I wish you would come home now and see your grandmother being safely buried. I smile and shake my head, "It's okay dad, I know, I would want to come home too and see grandma one last time. But dad, stay strong alright? I'm always here for you. Love you dad" I end the call and bury my face in the palms of my hand.

My tears were running down my face fast. All I could do was just cry my eyes out. Until I felt a pair of arms snake their way on my waist. I turn around and see Hyunjae snuggles his way to the crook of my neck. "What's the matter, sweetheart? Why are you so sad? Who broke you? Who hurt you?" I turn around to hold his hand. "My-my grandmother passed away yesterday.." He pulls me into a tight hug and I let myself let loose with all the tears. Hyunjae stroke my hair gently and keep repeating that everything is going to be okay. After a good probably 10 minutes of crying, I let go and smile at Hyunjae. He wipes away my tears and pats my shoulders. "I'm here if you ever need someone to talk too,"

"Right, um thanks. I should get going. Make yourself at home," He nods and makes his way to the pool to rest at the lounge chair. No bickering? No trying to kiss me? No trying to do something stupid? What was with all the hugging and shit? Oh my god, Penny! Keep it together! Why are you secretly asking for this?
