Chapter sixteen

My cheeks turned red. I quickly push him off which caused him to bump his head on the window and everyone look at my direction. "What was that? Did we hit something?"

"Uh, no! Hyunjae hit his elbow cause he was reaching for his bottle," Hyunjae looked at me and shakes his head while rubbing his bruised head. "Oh, okay, Hyunjae, Are you okay sweetie?" He hums as a reply and glares at me. I smile and look away feeling embarrassed about what just happened. After an hour, we finally reached our house. I wake Sunwoo up and he groans before doing his stretching things.

"I'll carry your bags, mum."

"Oh no, don't! Let the boys do it!" I nod and pass the bags to Hyunjae and Sunwoo. The rest of us then heads inside. Elaine and I rushed to our room and lock the door. We sat on the bean bags at the corner of the room. We bought them a few days ago and put it at the corner of the room because it's where we always gossip. "Okay, what did Hyunjae do to you?"

"Well, he asked if he could kiss me?" Elaine's jaw dropped and her eyes were wide open. "Shut, up! He did not! Girl, I really think he likes you! He doesn't get all lovey-dovey to all the girls he dated!"

"That's the thing. He dated." Elaine looks at me suspiciously and gasps. She scoots closer to me and leans forward. "You never dated before!?" I cover her mouth and push her down. Jeez, it's so embarrassing to know that I never dated before or even have a crush. I have always worked hard on my school that I don't really have time to start dating. The word dating never seems to cross my mind before. Elaine removes my hand and gasps again. "For real!? You never dated before!? That explains why you always get so cautious and flustered every time Hyunjae does things-"

"Dating, never once cross my mind." Elaine yawns and rolls her eyes. "Oh come on, you gonna tell me all that bullshit that you don't find Hyunjae attractive? Girl! He is a living god! He has all the features that every girl wants! He is never too serious in every relationship he is in. If he has his eyes on you. You ain't going nowhere!" I mean, Elaine is right thou. Every time he is with Serenity. He always looks at me, like you know those type of stares you don't have to look at the person to know they are staring at you, you just feel it? Yes, that type of stares.

"I really have no time for dating Elaine. I'm too busy with school and assignments."

"You keep telling yourself that, and you won't find a man to fall in love with or even get married to. You are never too busy to date. When loves comes to the right person at the right timing, you can't fight this war because love always wins. Even if you manage to win this war against love, I am telling you, Love is going to mess with your life especially your heart," I put my hand up and stop Elaine. She is so young how does she know a lot about love? Has she ever been in love? Or did she experienced it before?

"Now, since when do you know so much about love?" Elaine smiles and I could see her cheeks went red. "Because I am in a relationship with someone,"

"Spill the tea, sister," I cross my arms and leaned back to wait for Elaine to confess about this boyfriend of hers. Elaine took a deep breath and smile. "It's eric," I furrowed my brows and look at her, "Who?" Elaine smacks her forehead and laughs while taking out her phone. She showed a picture of Eric and her smiling so happily while hugging each other. I smile at her and ruffles her hair. "Can't believe my 18 years old sister has a boyfriend. And she has it before me too! How old is Eric?"

"20. That's not the point! Age doesn't matter when it comes to love. Like I just said. Loves win and if loves likes the two of you so much, you might even get married to each other and have kids!" I blinked and let out a smile. She knows way too much about love. Someone, please ask her to calm down.

"Why do you treat love as a person?"

"Stop trying to change the subject! Love gave you Hyunjae. So you better take it before someone else does. And when someone else does take Hyunjae. Your poor poor heart is gonna broke into million pieces because I know. Deep deep down in your heart, you secretly like him. Don't you dare deny me on this one," My eyes widen and I look away. I smile and quickly unlocked the door to run away when I hit someone. "Oh shit! Are you okay?"

"That's twice you hit me on the head, Penny," I am telling you I had goosebumps when he said that. How much did he hear!? Was he eavesdropping us!? Oh no! I am screwed! "Did you eavesdrop us or you just came?" Oh, thank goodness, Elaine! Thanks for talking to him when I am in complete shock right now. "No, I did not eavesdrop. Secondly, thanks for asking if I'm okay. Thirdly, your mum says dinner is ready." I smiled at him and let Elaine walk off first before attending to Hyunjae's head. I brought him inside and put him down on my head. I quickly brought an ice pack and place it on his head.

"Ah, I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to!" Hyunjae sighs and looks at me, "It's okay. I guess I deserved that." I look over at his head and saw a tiny bump. It doesn't look that bad. "Is it bad?" I shake my head, "It's not noticeable and it's tiny so it should be fine," Hyunjae nods and presses the ice pack harder on his head. I sat in front of him and looks at him.

"What are you doing?" I look around and tilt my head, "Uh sitting?"

"No the heck what are you doing sitting in front of me? You know this is an awkward position to be in?" I then realise that I was sitting directly in front of his thing. I then took the seat beside him and looks around awkwardly. "Can't I kiss you?"

"Why would you want to kiss me?"

"Your lips look soft I just want to know how it feels like," He leans in and I stopped him by putting my hands on his lips. "Hyunjae, stop it. I'm saving my kiss for my soulmate." He scoffs and removes my hands from his lips. He puts the ice pack down, stands up to lock the door, sit right beside me, carries me into his laps and looks at me in the eyes. "What if your soulmate is right in front of you?" I flushed and look away. "N-no Hyunjae. I can't,"

"I know you're obsessed with me babe," Am I? Are you, Pen? Are you obsessed with me? I pushed him away, got off his laps and walk to the door to unlock it. "Dinner's ready, I'll save you a seat." I close the door behind me and walk down the stairs. I am sweating profusely! That was so hot! I quickly takes the seat beside Elaine and whispered to her everything that happened in the room. Her eyes widen and look at me, "That's..hot!" I nod and quickly sit up straight when I saw Hyunjae making his way to the dining table. He didn't take the seat beside me, instead, he takes the seat beside Sunwoo. Which was across mum.

"Is he mad at you cause you don't let him kiss you?" I shrugged and eat my dinner silently. Dad told Hyunjae to stay over and sleep in one of the guest bedrooms or sleep in Sunwoo's room. He agreed before calling his I don't know mum? Or dad that he will be staying over here. My family has all gone to do their own things. My grandparents and my parents were catching up. Elaine decided to watch tv together with Sunwoo and Bilbo. And I'm in the kitchen washing dishes. We don't have a maid, or I think we don't so we always do our own cleaning, laundry and all.

"Need help?" I glance over and saw Hyunjae walking towards me. "Uh? Sure. You can dry the plates there." He nods and I then join him in drying the plates. It was quite awkward because none of us talked to each other while drying the plates. I mean, of course, he would be embarrassed because I just rejected him twice today, hit his head twice too. "Sorry," was all I could say.

"No, it's okay. I rushed things. But just do bare this in mind. I really do like you," With that, he walks away and leave me speechless. Did he like me? Me? Out of the girls in our school? Me the one that he falls for! Me! Gotta tell this to Amy and Ellie and also Elaine.

I don't see how that is a problem.
