Chapter ten

The weekend went by quickly and before I knew it, it was already back to school. Was I excited to be back in school? Well maybe, I'm just excited to be able to see Ellie and Amy again after the crazy party. My mum and my stepdad will be home by this Wednesday, weird to say this but I miss them.

"Penny! Come on! We gonna be late for school!" I run down the stairs to grab my lunch and put on my shoes afterward. Surprisingly, Grandma decided to send us to school today. "I'll just take the bus grandma. You can send Elaine and Penny. I have to go meet the boys," Grandma shakes her head and makes her way to the car. Sunwoo rolls his eyes and walked out of the gate. Alright, this tension between Sunwoo and Grandma needs to stop. We hopped into Grandma's car and make our way to the school, once we got out of the car, as usual people gave us those stares.

"Jeez, I need to get used to this stares every time I go to school with Grandma. Elaine nods and we make our way to class. As usual, I met up with Ellie and Amy near the lockers. "So, I guess Sunwoo and your grandmother are still not talking to each other huh?" I shake my head and we make our way to class. The first period is History, seriously? History on a Monday is a bad move. Since I have the same period with Amy so I'm glad I'm not alone in this class.

An hour passed by and I am already falling asleep. Amy has long gone to sleep. Suddenly, the door to class burst open causing everyone asleep to wake up. "Mr. Lee Hyunjae, you are late for class. What do you have to say to the class?"

"Um, I had to take care of my business," The class laughed except for me. That's just absolutely disturbing. "Just say you're sorry and sit down," The whole class faced to Amy who is now chewing her gum with her angry look. Of course, who wouldn't be angry if her nap is being disrupted? Hyunjae rolls his eyes and apologizes to the class for being late. He takes the seat in front of me and takes out his pencil case and books. Okay, this boy studies? Now, that's the first. Amy looks at me, then to Hyunjae then back to me. I shrug and focus back on History. The school bell rang and it's now time for lunchtime. We meet up at Ellie at the outside umbrella tables.

"Heard Hyunjae disrupted your sleep, Ms. Amy Will?" Amy groans and sighs, "I could have slept longer if that asshole didn't burst open the door and hit the wall so loudly. Weird thing, he brought his history books and a pencil case. Shocking? Never have I ever see him brought a pencil case and his books to school. Shocking!" Ellie's eyes went wide and so was her mouth.

"No way! Hyunjae? Now that's a first," Amy nods and I smile while staring at the cup of coffee that Ellie bought for us beforehand. "Maybe he got influenced by you, Penny!" I furrowed my brows and shake my head. There is no way he got influenced by me. I push away that thought and drank my coffee before digging in my lunch. After lunchtime, I told Ellie I had to go to the toilet to fix myself. I lock myself in one of the cubicles in the toilet and I hear some muffles and smooching in one of the cubicles.

"Seriously? This is the girls' toilet! They have to do it here?" I whispered to myself and rolls my eyes and took out my ear-pods and blast music because I certainly do not want to hear those things that come out of their mouth. I quickly do whatever necessities I need to do in the toilet before I was stopped by some blondie in the toilet with Hyunjae? I couldn't hear what they were saying cause I was blasting music. I took out and gave them the 'what' look. "Were you deaf or what!?"

"Me? Can't you see I was listening to music? Jeez thanks for ruining the song," she rolls her eyes and grabs me by the collar. Wait, what! What did I do wrong? "Who told you, you can come in here?"

"It's the public toilet, you psycho! Everyone is allowed to come in? Get your sucking game in the janitor's closet or something. But please do continue if you wanna get caught by the principal?" Hyunjae told her off and told her that I'm the principal granddaughter. She doesn't give a damn and pushed me against the wall. You know what? I'm gonna kill her! I grip her wrist and twist it. She let out a scream and hold her wrist while hiding behind Hyunjae. I wipe off the dust on my shirt and pick up my bag and leave. But before I leave, I turned around and said, "Mess with me one more time and we will see where you end up with,"

An audience has gathered outside the toilet. They might have heard the screaming and shouting. Well, that blondie deserved it. "Penny! Are you okay?" I nod and point the toilet, "The girl inside isn't, let's get to class," Amy and Ellie exchange looks and trail behind me.

"What did you do to her?"

"Oh nothing, other than twisting her wrist," Amy and Ellie stopped following and their jaw dropped. "Damn girl, didn't know you were a fighter! I love you even more," Amy wrapped her arms around me and ruffles my hair. Ellie joins in and looks back at the girl who I twisted her hand. We walk in the class and everyone in the class starts cheering for us. I smile and nod and walk to my seat with the girls. Ellie has been looking worried sick since just now, why is she so anxious? "El? Are you okay? Why do you look so anxious?"

"The girl that you twisted her hand, that was my cousin! Dude! Her Dad is the Sheriff, he can press charges on you!" Amy rolls her eyes, "Girl, back off okay? It was self-defense, besides if you need witnesses, the whole school is with you in this one."

The whole school? Is the whole school against that girl? What did she do wrong in this school? I look at Amy and furrowed my brows, "Ah, the whole school hates her everyone except Ellie here because she acts so mighty just because her dad is the sheriff. And she always uses her dad as a defense like if you hurt me or tries to threaten me, I will report you to my dad. It's so annoying I swear."

Just then, the blondie and Hyunjae walked into the class. Oh great, she is in the same class as me? Great. Just great! She glares at me and shows the slitting action against her throat. Amy then points a middle finger at her and told her to back off. "Handle your lose animal Hyunjae," Hyunjae rolls his eyes and for a second there our eyes meet. I could tell that he was scared and was crying for help in his eyes. Ellie must have seen that look in his face too because both of us looked at each other when it happened.

"You saw what I saw right? My eyes are not playing tricks with me right?"

"No, I saw it too," For some reason, I am actually quite worried for Hyunjae. But for now, let's just see what she will do next.
