Chapter thirty five

I look at Dad, who had put on his party hat including my aunts and uncles. I smile and went to hug each and every one of them. I look up to Grandfather and gave him a tight hug, "You made it home, Welcome Home, sweetheart," I smile at him and pull away. I drag Hyunjae and Amy and introduce them to the family.

"This is Hyunjae and Amy," My younger cousins ran up to Hyunjae, causing him to lose his balance and fall back on his bum. "You look different, you are so pale! Are you an alien?" Hyunjae looks up to us and Amy was covering her mouth, to prevent her from bursting into laughter. I smile and shrug, leaving him alone with the kids, Amy and I walk to where my aunties are seated at. One of them pulled me to sit beside her and leans in, "Is that your boyfriend?"

I nod and then they pull Amy to sit at the other side, "How about you? Do you have one?" Amy shakes her head and they sigh, "You're still young, it's still fresh, so you better get Boogey," Our eyes widen and Amy cough at the comment and give me the look of 'help me'.

"Ah, if you can't find one, I'll help you find one."

"Oh, no it's okay, I can look for it myself, thank you for your help," My aunties giggles and pat Amy's back, "We are only joking!" I smile and nod, agreeing with them. Amy sighs in relief and laughs along with them.

The rest of the night, we spent time talking and laughing. It's been a long since I meet them, well actually not that long, probably about a few months? My cousins, the older ones are married and already have kids of their owns, the younger ones are still in high school, middle school, nursery. The newest addition to the family is baby twins, and they are girls. I did manage to carry one of them before she started crying for milk. "This makes me miss Floofy," Hyunjae nods and ruffles my hair.

"Penny! Penny! He didn't answer my question!" Jake, I think, points to Hyunjae and I carried him to my laps, "What question?" He frowns at Hyunjae, "If he is an alien! He looks so white! I never see anybody so white before! Did he paint himself white?" Hyunjae laughs and ruffles his hair, "No silly! I was born in a different country which explains why I have a lighter skin colour!" My younger cousin nods and snuggles right to my neck. Hyunjae sat beside me and wraps his arms around my shoulders. "Jake sweetheart, come here, it's time for your sleep,"

"Oh, Penny can take care of it. Besides, we both volunteers at a daycare centre," My aunt smiles at me and I cradle Jake to sleep. Within seconds, I could already hear soft snores behind my head. I then pass him over to his mother and joins Hyunjae. After all the younger children have fallen asleep, the adults decided to have a drinking game since they will be sleeping here. Also, because, Dad looks very happy with them here.

"Oh freak! 7 shots! Let's hit it!" Grandpa drank all 7 shots down his throat and smashed it at the table. I am surprised at how well my Dad's family can hold their liquor. They had at least 10 shots of wine, beer, tequila and they are still looking sober. Amy had called it quits and join the kids upstairs to sleep. Hyunjae and I went outside to sit on the front porch to enjoy the night sky. Hyunjae rested his head on my laps while I play with his hair, watching the stars above us. "Kinda miss Korea now," I chuckle and look down at him before leaning in for a kiss.

"Me too. But we have to settle it here,"

"How? We still have zero plans on this thing. And your Agent, who knows he might be an evil cop and turn his back against us,"

"I know." Hyunjae looks at me, "You know what?" I look out in the open and saw Sarah with Agent Tom. I push Hyunjae away and he was surprised but then look over to where I am. "Is that-?"

"Get inside. Now," We hurriedly get in the house and locked it. Hyunjae then locks the back doors. Everyone in the house is still standing still and asked what's wrong. Dad could already sense something is wrong so he quickly took out his gun from the shelf. My family seems to notice my panic face and they quickly grab any weapon they could find. "Penny, Hyunjae, go upstairs and stay with the kids, we will handle this with the big boys," We nod and hurriedly ran upstairs to be with the kids. Amy was up when we walked in and was holding a binocular.

"I knew that Agent couldn't be trusted. What the heck is he doing with Sarah?" I shrug and take the sniper gun and look through the scope to see what both of them are doing. "What are they doing?" I scrunched my nose up when I saw both of them getting all friendly and touchy with each other before we heard a loud bang. "He shot her?"

"No," I pulled away. "She shot him," Amy grabs the gun from me and aims it at Sarah who is looking around for her crew members. Amy's grip tightens and then bang. She shot her straight in the head, causing her head to explode and die instantly on the road. I look behind to see if any of the kids were awake, including the babies none of them was. "Amy! You shot her!" Amy lets go of the sniper gun and look over at me, panting and shaking uncontrollably. "I did," I hugged her and Hyunjae ruffles her hair.

Our door opened and in came Grandpa. He handed us both a handgun and said something like, war has come. I quickly called the police and told them a riot was coming. We nod and stayed in the room. Hopefully, the adults downstairs can handle it. Hyunjae closes the door and cover it with a rug at the bottom and rushes over to my room to lock the doors too. "It's now or never," I nod. One by one, the kids started to wake up because of the gunshots downstairs. Of course, they cried but the older ones, I told them to stay silent and comfort the younger children. The babies on the other hand were crying too so I bring them both to the bathroom and lock myself in. I pace front and back to calm both myself and them down. After a few minutes, they did calm themselves.

"Penny? Where are you? Come down here if you don't want your family to be killed!"

"No, Anthony got in," I opened the door and handed the babies to Hyunjae. I walk downstairs with the gun in my shirt and a knife in my sleeves. Anthony had his knife pointed towards Dad. My aunts, Uncles including Grandpa was all standing at one side absolutely helpless on what to do. I saw Agent Tom creeping behind Anthony. Hold on. Didn't he die? Agent Tom gave me the cue to interact with him. "What do you want Anthony?"

"It's easy, you join my clan. We were family, Penny. Until you snitch us all!"

"You killed Abby! With Sarah! You raped her and then you drugged her! What kind of sick bastard are you! Ben blamed me! But it was his best friend that killed his sister, his own best friend!" Anthony scowl at me and did a small slash across Dad's neck. He walks to me and starts to caress me. I gulped when he came to a halt in front of me with his hands groping my ass. "She knows too much. She knows the secret we hid. She knows something," 

"You see Penny. We never liked you. We plan this day from the beginning till now. Waiting for our chance to kill you. You must be wondering, why didn't we kill you back then? And why we hate you," He lets go of me and forcefully push me down by my face. My face hit the floor, I felt an excruciating pain in my cheeks. Anthony kneels down and cupped my cheeks to look at him. "You were Ben's favourite. We couldn't kill you to get rid of you instead we let you in our trap. But then, you snitch on us. Boy was I so pissed at you I just want to rip you apart! When you flew to Korea, my hatred towards you started to grow and to this day, it's growing. You came back, that's when I know, my chances are here."

"I have to say, your friend who shot Sarah, is pretty good. I was dying to get rid of her. Amy? Was it? Don't worry, she is fine. She does make a nice woman. And who else? Ah, Hyunjae? Your lover? He makes a fine slave of entertainment." I spat at him, "You touch them, I will kill you." I push myself on to him and sat on top of him. He was feeling it and push his hips upwards that it was hitting my front. I gasped. But then I remembered, it's time to finish this asshole. I bump my head on his, hard and he loses his focus and eventually knocked out. The rest of his members were already knocked out too and I got up from him. Agent Tom came running to me and I glare at him. 

"What the hell man? What were you doing with Sarah?" Amy punches him and it sent him flying to the ground. He chuckles and holds his jaw. "I have to distract her, they were coming to your house." Amy clenches her hand and I move her behind me. Soon, police came and arrested Anthony and his members. Agent Tom thanked us and leave with the police. My aunts and uncles let out a sigh of relief and gave a hug to everyone. I went up to see the kids are all hugging Hyunjae for comfort. Amy snorted and all of the kids ran up to both of us.  Hyunjae stands and brush away the dirt on his pants and walk up to us. 

"So?"

"Gone and captured," I nod. Hyunjae let out a sigh and gave both of us a hug. "So what? Does that mean we have to go back home?"

"Or you can stay with us longer! We can have slumber parties! Or celebrate Halloween!" Hyunjae smiles and ruffles their hair. "I mean, I do want to stay longer but I have a family back in Seoul. So does Hyunjae." I look down at them and smile. "We'll see if we can stay any longer,"
