Alastor had never been more confused as he was the next day, he'd gone to the kitchen to confront Devyn when instead met another Demon who was cooking. Nearly taking his anger out on said Demon he instead headed towards Charlie's office, where he found both Vaggie and Charlie giggling only to stop when they realized he was there standing at the doorway. Being very flustered the girls stood up before speaking with him,
"Y-yes Alastor, can we help you?"
"I noticed that our usual Chef isn't in the kitchen?" Vaggie scoffed crossing her arms,
"He needed a day off. What did you expect him to do this gig twenty-four seven?" Alastor wasn't too happy about that; something was indeed off seeing as how Angel didn't go out last night and was in his room knocked out. And it wasn't due to over drinking.
"So the Demon in the kitchen is who exactly?" He continued,
"Devyn has many employees all over Hell who can cover when he's in a tight spot; he said his name was Sunny but that he's mute. Guess that didn't stop Sunny from becoming a Chef. He told me about some of the others too, so many different Demons, all with hard past lives. And yet they were able to find something worthwhile here in Hell, anything from the Fine Arts, Devyn has helped to support their endeavors! Isn't Devyn so amazing!" Charlie smiled as Vaggie shrugged agreeing with her, the Chef seemed like a miracle worker lifting others and giving them a purpose, expressing themselves through the fine arts. If Alastor wasn't keen on keeping his smile at all times, he swore he'd gag at the sentiment. Still, that uneasy feeling hadn't gone away, so he politely excused himself and continued on his way.
Devyn didn't return to the Hotel until almost five in the evening; he knew Sunny had left after the lunch serving time, so he headed to his room to refreshen up and get ready to start prepping dinner. His chat with Charlie earlier that morning had been pleasant, she couldn't stop asking him so many questions about the Demons he had helped and are now working in his restaurants. She was like a little girl listening to a fairytale; he had to admit it made him feel a bit flustered by her admiration and glad that he had decided to help the "Happy Hotel." Suddenly Devyn heard something, but it didn't sound like a person, turning he saw the doors pushed open by a pink piglet.
"FatNuggets! Where are you, little guy?" Angel entered the dining hall looking around for his companion; he was getting worried when he noticed Alastor sitting with Husk and Niffty playing cards. He walked over worriedly,
"Hey, guys, any of yous' seen FatNuggets? I can't find em," Husk grunted as Niffty played her cards.
"You mean that little porker? Nah, haven't seen em." Alastor was grinning more than usual as he held his cards,
"I do believe he went into the kitchen. Hopefully, he's alright, but I could swear I smelled bacon earlier." Angel gasped turning to the kitchen, he heard a squeal from FatNuggets and screamed while running for the kitchen.
"Nooo! FatNuggets, Daddy's coming!" Bursting through the doors to see Devyn was holding his little piglet looking at him with an intense stare, Angel wanted to run forward, but he couldn't move.
"Angel, does this belong to you?"
"Oh yeah, that's FatNuggets he's um... my little piglet." Suddenly Devyn's face lit up as he smiled,
"He's absolutely adorable!" The piglet squealed happily as Devyn rubbed his nose into the piglet's, the sight shocked Angel, but he let out a held in breath relieved that his companion wasn't in danger. Devyn moved to hand him his pet back while speaking in a deeper tone,
