Chapter 42

Jessica's POV

(July 6th 2009)

I gave Lauren a hug as I grabbed the strap of my suitcase. "Thanks for inviting me."

She smiled. "Anytime, remember that the door is always open." Yesterday had been a blast. We watched movies and to Lauren and my delight we watched a horror. The girls weren't too happy with us though.

We prank called some people, which was hilarious. One of the guys thought that his fridge was literally running down the street, I think he might've drank too much last night.

Another person we called was at her bachelorette party and we got to congratulate her and it was pretty sweet. She even kept us on the line to listen to their toasts.

Than the rest of the night we just gossiped about what might've happened to some of the people we went to school with now that school has been out of over a month.

We came up with some very interesting possibilities.

I smiled. "I will, and the same goes for you." i sling the straps of my bag over my shoulder and kept a hand on my suitcase handle. Don't judge, it has my sleeping bag, blanket and pillow in it. "I'll talk to you soon."

"same goes to you." I walled up to my door as she walked around her car and climbed back into the drivers side. She waved and honked her horn and I laughed before I opened the front door and stepped inside.

The house was quiet and surprisingly still intact. I shut the door behind me before pulling my phone out of my back pocket and looking at the time. It was 10:30. Louis' car was in the driveway when I walked up.

They can't still be asleep now, can they?

I put my phone back into my back pocket and left my suitcase and bag next to the door. I went into the kitchen and went to open the cabinet to grab a glass when an arm wrapped around my waist and a hand covered my eyes.

I heard shuffling and than lips met mine before quickly pulling away. "Guess who?"

I giggled, a smile spreading across my face. I'm gonna mess with him, just a little bit. "Well it could be Johnny. Or maybe even Sarah's boyfriend Tyler. . ."

"Oh my god it's your boyfriend!" He exclaimed as he removed the hand from my eyes and kissed me again, except this time with more force, before he pulled away again.

I laughed when I saw the fury and humor in his eyes. Weird combo, I know. "I was only kidding. I knew it was you!" He blushed and looked down and away from me.

"Of course I knew that." he replied as he looked at his feet and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. He was trying not to smile. He must've guessed I might've said something like that. I smiled a little wider.

I laughed as Lindsey skipped into the room. "Hey Jess!" she exclaimed as she hugged me, I hugged her back. I really don't get her sometimes. She acts like a stupid little kid and than she acts like an adult. It's like she flicks a switch and bam! She immediately becomes that personality trait of that age.

"Hey Linds." I let go of her and looked her in the eyes as I knelt down. "How did Louis do? Did he pass?" I asked. I heard Louis scoff behind me. I turned around to look at him to see he was looking down at me.

"Of course I passed!" he exclaimed. I could see he was trying not to smile. Whats going on?

"He did terrible." I turned to look at Lindsey.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I looked at her quizzically, an eyebrow raised as my mouth hung slightly open in shock.

"He failed." he failed? what does she mean by that? She crossed her arms over her chest as she sent him a stern look. But I couldn't take my eyes off of her expression. "He messed up your room." My eyes widened.
