Louis POV

I took a deep breath as I parked the rental car in the lot. God what am I even doing here?

I looked at the daycare with its closed in play area and its bright and color signs and through the glass it's vivid walls and decor.

God why am I here?

I sighed and rubbed my tamales with two fingers and tried to collect myself so I could actually go inside.

I am such a wuss aren't I?

I took one last look at the empty passenger seat of my car before Turing the ignition off and pulling the key out. I clambered out and locked the doors before I jammed it into my pocket.

I put my hands into my pockets as I walked towards the main doors and when I got there I hesitated a few moments and my hand froze mid motion.

Come on. What's so scary about opening a damn door.

I pushed my arm out and the door swing heavily open with a small clang of the bell. A young girl looked up from the desk and smiled at my as she shuffled some papers into a folder and than placed it on the desk in front of her.

The door banged back shut behind me.

"Hello sir how may I help you?" She asked with a bright and chest smile on her face, or what I hoped was one. She seemed a little upset with me.

I cleared my throat before I replied to her. "Yes I'm here to visit a miss Jessica Ken. I am an old friend of hers from back in high school and I thought I'd drop by for a visit."

"Oh well I'm very sorry we don't do calls to the rooms."

"Well I'm on a very short time schedule." No I'm not. "And I wanted to stop by and see her. If you want I can give you an I.D and you can frisk me."

She sighed and nodded. I pulled my I.D from my wallet and handed it to her. Her eyes widened as she checked it over before quickly sliding it back over the counter to me.

It's like she's afraid to touch me.

"Alright now I have to check for weapons."

She walked careful around the counter and I slid my long trench coat off, which I hated wearing but it definitely his who I was, and placed it onto the counter.

"Legs apart and arms out straight." As quickly and awkwardly as she could she checked my legs, chest and arms for weapons. "I'll keep the trench coat here." She mumbled as she sighed and pulled out a visitor badge.

"Please follow me." She said sternly with the fake at smile on her face as she reluctantly led me down the hall and close to Jess.
