Prologue

"Jendeukie! I bought our favorite cinnamon rolls for us!" someone said behind my condo's room. Well, it's definitely Taehyung. He has an annoying voice when he's screaming.

I immediately get out from bed, I had a nice sleep though.

I brushed my teeth, washed my face and after that I already opened the door and greeted taehyung with a warm smile.

"Come in," I said.

"Didn't your father don't want you to let visitors come into your condo especially when it's a male?" he asked. "No don't mind it, it's okay."

By the way my father is an owner of a famous clothing brand and after graduating from college I will inherit and manage that company. Taehyung placed the cinnamon rolls on the table and started eating. "Oh jendeukie, I actually bought two cinnamon rolls for you. I know you're starving," Taehyung said, letting out a warm smile.

"Ok fine, I'll just get dressed," I said. I got my uniform on the cabinet and dressed myself. Taehyung is already in his uniform that's why he's already eating. After dressing up, I ate my cinnamon rolls and get up.

"Let's go taehyung."

I locked my room and then used the elevator to go down. I hopped on Taehyung's scooter. "Hey Jendeukie, are you really that excited?"

"Why not V, it's first day of school. And will you please stop calling me Jendeukie? It's annoying," I said, rolling my eyes on Taehyung. He just laughed. Nothing's funny though.

"I. WILL. NOT. Hahahaha!" He said while making a funny face. I can't help but laugh.

"I hate you Taehyung. You always make me laugh like this," I said while laughing. Well that's why we became best friends, he always makes me laugh because I am a serious person. It all started when I was 7 and he was 8.

I was left alone outside the room while my mother was inside. My mother is sick and she was being treated inside. I was really sad because I was hoping that she could survive in her sickness. Then a little boy that was a year older than me approached me, "What's your name? I'm Kim Taehyung."

"I'm Kim Jennie," I said. "Wait, why do we have the same surname?" he said and I was also shocked. "Uh- Never mind. Do you know that I am expert in making funny faces?" he asked. I shook my head in response, he then made a funny face and I really laughed so hard.

The doctor went outside my mother's room while having a sad expression. "Where's your dad?" he asked me. My dad went towards the doctor and he said something on my dad. He started crying.

I met Taehyung the day my mother died.

"Let's go Jendeuk," Taehyung said. I positioned my hands on Taehyung, hugging his stomach from the back.

I am Kim Jennie, and Kim Taehyung is my best friend.
