One of your favorite authors had just released a new book. He wasn't very well-known, which a part of you liked. There was something about having a favorite author who had a small following that you enjoyed.
You let out a tiny squeak of excitement when you saw his book set up on a small display with a sign reading: NEW RELEASES. You headed over to the books stacked in a short heap on a table, snagging a copy to look at the front cover.

Engima by Kim Seokjin.

You flipped the book over to read the blurb printed on the back of the sleeve.

Park Jiseok is head over heels in love. The only problem is, he's never met the girl. He only watches her from afar. He's not sure why he feels so drawn to her. The feelings he held for a woman he didn't know was an enigma.
Will the pair eventually meet up? Will a romance blossom?

Your heart thumped in your chest. This was going to be a good story, you could already tell. With the book clutched to your chest, you hastily took it to the register to check out.
"Oh. Kim Seokjin." The lady behind the counter mused as she scanned the book. "He's very talented."
"You've read his stuff?" You asked, surprised that someone else knew of him.
"Yes. The way he writes about romance is incredible. Whoever he thinks about while he's writing is one lucky girl."
"She certainly is." You agreed.

You paid for your book and wished the lady at the register a nice day before leaving the store. Your hands were slightly jittery and your heart felt like it was doing front flips. You couldn't wait to get home and dive right into the story.

As soon as you stepped foot into your bedroom, your jacket was haphazardly thrown over the coatrack and your shoes were kicked aside. You traded your current clothes for some more comfortable ones and went to brew yourself some hot tea.
The steam rose up in swirls from your favorite mug as you placed it on the coffee table and curled up on the couch, your new book perched in your hand, ready to be read. You flipped to the first page with a feeling of excitement in your chest as you began reading.

One chapter into the book, you were hooked. Chapter two was even better, the story already exceeding your expectations. Your eyes scanned across the page, working your way down to the bottom.

There she was, the girl Jiseok had been drawn to for years. His body froze, eyes locking onto her form as she walked into the bookstore with a smile on her face and a bounce in her step. She was excited about something. He lost sight of her once she was inside, but he was able to catch glimpses of her through the front window of the shop.
He fought internally with himself, debating about wether or not to go into the store, but before he could make up his mind, she emerged with a bag of books in hand.
The way her (h/c) hair flowed in the wind was simply breathtaking and Jiseok could only imagine the way her (e/c) eyes sparkled when she found a new book that interested her.
