He was enchanting, so bright and lustrous, lighting up everything in his presence. There was a glowing golden aura around him everywhere he went. He radiated light—he was light. Every time he smiled you felt like you were being blinded, but in the best way possible. You had lived in the dark your entire life and now that you'd caught sight of him, you felt as if you'd seen a new world. Your life was never the same after him. There was a sense of longing in your chest, a desire to meet this man who'd stolen your heart, but it was impossible. How could the moon meet the sun?
You were absolutely stunning. Every night you glowed in the most brilliant white light, a physical manifestation of your purity and innocence. He watched you, but only from afar, as that's all the universe allowed. The distance made his heart ache with a poignant loneliness, making him realize how isolated he'd been. He yearned to meet you and witness your pale glow up close, but it was impossible. How could the sun meet the moon?
It was a very special night. The stars had aligned perfectly and you were blessed with the opportunity to meet with him. To touch him, embrace him. Every fiber of your being thrummed with excitement, the tips of your fingers tingling at the thought of how warm his skin would be against them. You could see his ardent glowing form in the distance, shining brightly as always, like a beacon beckoning you closer. You drew nearer, gravitating towards him, your heart beating faster by the second.
"Hoseok." You uttered his name once you got close enough for him to hear you. He smiled brightly, your mellifluous voice like music to his ears. His fingers twitched at his sides, his skin aching with an unfamiliar need. "Y/n." His voice was like silk and honey, wrapping around you like a blanket. He extended his hand, palm up, and you took hold of it, his touch sending a surge of electricity through your body and soul. One of his arms wrapped around your waist swiftly, pulling you flush against him, needing to feel your body pressed to his own so he knew you were real. At that moment, Hoseok felt as if the universe had granted him his deepest wish: the chance to hold the moon in his arms. "I've been watching you for so long." He whispered reverently. "I've been watching you for so long too. You're utterly mesmerizing up close." "Not as mesmerizing as you, my moonbeam." The orange specks in his golden eyes danced with affection as he spoke. It was impossible to hold back the smile breaking out onto your face, especially after hearing such a nickname fall from his pretty lips.
He held you tighter and started swaying gently beneath the starlit sky. You gazed up at Hoseok, and despite him shining so brightly, it didn't hurt your eyes to look at him. In fact, you couldn't look away. The golden flecks across his cheekbones shimmered and you couldn't resist the urge to reach out and touch them, knowing you may not get this opportunity again for quite some time. Hoseok's lashes fluttered at your delicate touch that sent a trail of sparks along his skin. Your fingers drifted to his bright red bangs that framed his handsome face, the strands like silk ribbons between your digits. The softest of sighs escaped his lips when you reached his hair and he couldn't help but lean into your palm, relishing in your touch that he'd longed to feel. Your body was cool in temperature, contrasting from his own naturally warm skin, but he loved it. Holding you felt like a breeze on a chilly day and he never wanted to leave.
