Hoseok and I sat at the kitchen table together having breakfast, both of us decked out in our most festive and cozy outfits. We both wore red and green sweaters with snowmen on them, sweats and fuzzy Christmas socks. Hoseok and I decorated the house together yesterday and today was a lazy day. A day to sit and enjoy all of our hard work. It took us like five or six hours to get the whole house decorated, outdoors included. We're both pretty big Christmas enthusiasts so we make sure to go all out.
"The house looks so great." Hoseok speaks up.
"Yeah it does. We did a really good job."
"I know today was supposed to be a day to rest, but I was thinking we could do some fun stuff."
"What kind of fun stuff?" I ask taking a bite of my eggs.
"Like bake cookies and make our own ornaments."
"That sounds like a lot of fun." I said.
"Perfect!" He clapped excitedly. After our plates were empty and the dishes were washed Hoseok dragged out the arts and crafts stuff, spreading it out on the kitchen table. Meanwhile I gathered all the ingredients for cookies.
"Let's make the cookies first, then while they're baking we can start on ornaments."
"That's a good idea. My little sunflower is so smart." He grinned ruffling my hair and pressing a kiss to my cheek.
He turned on some Christmas music and we started on the cookies. I opened the pack of cookie dough mix and poured it into a bowl. Hoseok cracked two eggs and dropped a stick of softened butter into the dough mix. I started to stir the mixture, letting Hoseok take over halfway through. When it was all mixed we took small spoonfuls, shaping the dough into small spheres before dropping them onto the pan and flattening them into cookies.
Hoseok put the cookies into the oven and we started working on ornaments.
We had recently purchased some plain red ornaments that we hadn't used, so I had the idea to paint on them. I squeezed some white paint onto a paper plate and started working on my ornament, painting small intricate designs on it. Hoseok started humming happily to the Christmas music as he painted his ornament. I had my first one finished and set it aside to dry before grabbing another one. I had a really cute idea for this ornament."You already finished one?" Hoseok gasped.
"Mhm." I hummed as I dipped my paintbrush into the paint and started on the second ornament. "What are you painting on yours?" I asked.
"It's a surprise." He giggled. "What about yours?"
"This one is a surprise too." I grinned.***
"Done!" Hoseok beamed.
"Me too." I said looking at mine.
"Let's show each other. One. Two. Three."We both turned our ornaments around so each of us to see it. Hoseok's had two cute chibi character faces painted on them. One was him, his heart shaped smile on display, the other was me. There were loads of hearts and flowers painted all over the decoration. On my ornament was Hoseok + Y/n Christmas 2019 along with some hearts.
"Hobi that's adorable!" I gushed over his ornament.
"I love yours! It's so sentimental." He pouted cutely. "We have to put them on the tree after they dry."
"Definitely!"The oven beeped signaling the cookies were done.
"Cookies!" Hoseok and I shrieked excitedly.
I ran over to the oven, slipping on mitts before pulling the warm, fresh cookies out.
We both started frantically fanning the cookies trying to cool them off enough to eat.
"They smell so good!" I exclaimed. "I want one now."
"Me too." Hoseok said fanning the cookies.
"Screw it, let's eat one." I grabbed a spatula, unsticking the cookies from the pan. Of course they fell apart just a little but we could care less.
I took one of the broken pieces of cookie and popped it in my mouth.
"Mmm!!!" I said jumping in place, doing sort of a happy dance.
Hoseok did the same.
"Oh!" He gasped.
"What?"
"You have some chocolate on your mouth." He said.
"Where?"
Hoseok leaned in, kissing the corner of my mouth.
"There." A flirtatious grin spread across his face.
I grabbed his cheeks, pulling him back in, smashing my lips against his. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me against him. He tilted his head to the side just slightly, deepening the kiss. I ran my fingers through his fluffy, dark brown hair.
We both pulled away gasping for breath.
"Merry Christmas to me." He smirked.
