I walked down to the small lake near my house. It's a place I like to go to when I want to get away. The air was cool but very refreshing. It was a big contrast with the stuffy air inside my house.
As I neared the lake I heard someone singing. I didn't recognize the voice, but they sounded beautiful. Their voice was light and airy. I'd never heard anything like it. I started walking towards the soothing voice, following it through the trees. The small lake came into view and I was able to see a man dancing near the edge. His arms were outstretched, moving fluidly in the air. His legs carried him over to the edge of the pond before he spun around and danced away from it. He wore all black and appeared to have a leather corset around his waist. I noticed he wasn't wearing shoes either. He sang as he danced, his whole body moving smoothly and freely. He stopped, leaning his head back as two large black wings sprouted from his back. I let out a gasp, wondering if what I'm seeing is real. The man paused and looked directly at me, his gaze intense. I realized then that I'd been standing in plain sight the whole time.
"Well... what's a little dove like you doing out here?" He asked taking a step towards me.
"I come here all the time." I said taking a step back.
"So do I. Now, tell me sweetheart," He leaped forward, his wings flapping once, propelling his body towards me. He landed right in front of me, his hand grabbing my jaw lightly. "What exactly did you see?"
"Nothing. I swear."
"Mmm. You saw something, didn't you?"
My eyes moved to look at the large pair of wings behind the man in front of me.
"It was an accident. I-I only came here to have some alone time. I heard you singing and I just happened to see you here."
He looked at me, his eyes sharp, like broken glass. His dark irises bore into me, staring right into my soul.
"I won't tell anyone. I promise." I spoke shakily.
"How can I be so sure you won't tell anyone?"
"You can trust me. I promise."
"I don't know about that. I think you should stay with me for a while until I feel like you can be trusted."
"What? No. I have a house to get back to. A life to live."
"You should have stayed at home then." He said grabbing my wrist.
"No!" I shout, jerking my hand back. "I don't even know who you are."
"It doesn't matter who I am. Now get over here."
He reached for my wrist again, but I pulled back, I stepping away from him. I immediately started running through the woods desperate to get away from him and back to my house. I looked behind me for a moment, catching a glimpse of the man standing in the same spot. I didn't have time to think about him not chasing me. I just wanted to get out of there. The adrenaline and fear coursing through my body made me run even faster. I got excited when I saw my house coming into view. I pushed myself to the door, fiddling with my keys and unlocking it before rushing inside.
I rested against the door, gasping for air, my chest heaving up and down."You're safe now. Everything is okay." I reassured myself.
The events from just moments ago really started to set in.
What was he?
A fallen angel?
Fallen angles aren't even real.
Whatever he is, he tried to kidnap me.I place my hand over my racing heart, beating rapidly against my chest. I reach over and lock the door before going to the kitchen and getting some water. I take a sip and sit down at the table to rest and catch my breath.
Maybe I was hallucinating?
No. That all felt too real.I run my fingers through my hair, my thoughts racing. I finish off my water and lean back against the chair, my heart finally start to beat at a slower pace. I stood up from the table and set my empty glass in the sink before mindlessly walking to my room. I can't seem to tear my thoughts away from him. I let out a sigh and fall back on my bed, kicking my shoes off, not caring where they land.
"I just want to forget about all this."

I wake up the next day feeling rested. I get dressed and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. As I'm going about my regular routine, memories and events from the previous day come flooding back. I freeze, my heart pounding. I'm quick to try and calm myself down, reassuring myself that I'm safe. Taking a deep breath I continue my routine.
"Alright. Breakfast." I say aloud and head to the kitchen.
Just as I open the fridge to look for something to eat, I hear a knock at my front door. I close the refrigerator and look towards the entryway, furrowing my brows.
I assume maybe it's a friend or something deciding to drop in and visit, but when I answer the door I see I'm completely wrong.
My eyes widen in horror as I feel all the blood drain from my face. The man from yesterday stood on my doorstep, a grin on his face."Hello little dove." He said.
"N-No. Not you."
"You're not happy to see me?" He asked, pretending to be offended.
"Go away!" I hiss and go to slam the door in his face.
He holds his hand out, stopping the door halfway. I start to push, but it's no use.
"That's no way to treat a guest." He spoke.
"You're not a guest."
"Hey chill out. I'm not gonna hurt you or anything."
"How can I trust you?" I ask skeptically.
He held his hands up innocently.
"I swear. I mean no harm."
I continue to stare at him, wondering if he can be trusted after that little stunt he pulled yesterday.
"Well, are you gonna let me in or not?"
"Fine." I answer hesitantly, stepping aside.
He walks inside and and looks around.
"Nice place."
"Thanks." I mutter and close the door. "Now, how did you find me?"
"I followed you yesterday."
"I didn't see you."
"I'm stealthy." He winked.
"No, you're a stalker."
"Ouch." He placed his hand on his chest.
"Suck it up."
"You're quite feisty today, aren't you?"
"What do you want?" I asked.
"You get right to the point." He huffed, shoving his hands in his jacket pockets. "I came to apologize for freaking you out yesterday."
"Apologize?" I questioned. "For trying to kidnap me?"
"Yeah. I'm just really protective of my identity."
"Which is?" I asked, waiting for him to go on.
"You couldn't tell?"
"No. Are you like a fallen angel or something?"
"Please." He scoffed. "I'm a black swan."
"A black swan?"
"Yeah."
"Hm."
"Why is your reaction like that?" He asked.
"It's just weird. I've never heard of them before."
"There's nothing weird about it. Black swans are majestical creatures." He huffed.
"Okay." I chuckle. "Do you want something to drink?"
"Water is fine."
"Alright. Have a seat. Make yourself at home."
I walked into the kitchen, and got Jimin a glass of water. When I returned to the living room he was sitting on the couch.
"So," I started, setting the glass down on the coffee table. "you can like, hide your wings?"
"Mhm." He nodded. "It's very convenient."
"I'm sure." I said taking a seat at the opposite end of the couch.
"Thanks for the water by the way."
"You're welcome."
I watched as he took a sip, my brain replaying my first run in with him. He's much different.
"You sounded really pretty." I spoke up.
"What?" He asked looking over at me.
"Yesterday when I heard you singing in the woods. You sounded really pretty."
"Oh." He looked away almost seeming embarrassed. "Thank you."
"Do you like to sing?" I asked.
"Yeah. I got to the lake to sing and dance sometimes. It helps me de-stress."
"You're very interesting." I said looking at him.
"I am?"
"Yeah. If you don't mind I'd like to get to know you better."
He seemed a bit flustered. A light pink tint adorning his soft cheeks.
"Okay. As long as I can get to know you in return."
"I'd like that very much." I smile.
"How about I start by introducing myself? I'm Jimin, and you are?"
"Y/n."I don't know what made me so attracted to Jimin in such a short amount of time. Maybe he's magic. Or maybe he's just that cute.
