Sandy's side of the story

“My mom told me to say hi to you.”

            “Really? How’s auntie?”

“She’s fine but she keeps on bothering us about having a kid.” Julian casually shared.

“Naturally, she’ll be expecting now that you’re married.”

“Helene and I want to have a kid two years from now. We still have a lot to do with our jobs.”

            The waiter served your foods.

“Ahh…so tell, me how’s married life?”

“Happy…everything’s entirely different yet fulfilling…It’s really nice to wake up in the morning with that person next to you..” Sandy found herself smiling with his words. Strangely, she feels happy too. She ate a spoonful of the food. Julian stares at her with wonder.

“What? Is it the first time you see me eat?” she asked him while chewing.

“Seriously? I thought you’re just playing around when you ordered that….So, since when did you start eating spicy foods?”

“What are saying? You like spicy foods right?”she ignore him and continue eating.

“No, I don’t..” He answered making her pause for a while. What did I just say?

            “I’m sorry…”

“Something’s off with you. I felt it since I came back.”

            “Huh?”

            “Jared Kim…you like him right?”

            “What?! I-I like who?!””

            “JARED KIM”

“Where did you get that idea?! That’s absurd…There’s nothing like that between us.”

Julian smiled with her reaction. “I know you well…I hate to admit it but it seems that I’m no longer holding the same spot for you. This guy, he works so fast I caught off guard.”

“That’s not true! You are more important to me than……him.” Julian moves his index finger side to side disagreeing..

“Then why did your cheeks turned red just hearing his name? Also, why do you keep looking at your phone from time to time? It’s because you’re waiting for a message from him right?”

            “It’s not that…”

“You are guilty..” he says in a teasing tone.

            “Honestly, I don’t know either…”

“Does this person like you too?” Sandy nodded gently.

“Then why are you still hesitating?”

She breathe deeply and looked at him with confusion.

“You know what? Let’s call it a day. You need to think about it carefully because if you’ll do nothing, the chance might pass before you even notice it.”
