Sandy's side of the story
“You look tensed..Just chill will you?” she says to the groom.
“I know. I just can’t help it..” sweat drops starts to appear on Julian’s forehead. She carefully wiped his sweat with a tissue and arrange the collar of his tuxedo.
“Attorney, don’t worry because the day wouldn’t end without you being a married man ok?”
“Yeah..I never felt this nervous when I’m on a courtroom.” Julian says smiling starting to get relax.
“You know what, Helene should be the one to get nervous because she’s going to marry a guy with lots of reasoning and rebuttal. It won’t be easy for her to win in an argument.” Sandy joke.
“She’s lucky because I’ll always be there to defend her and stand by her side…but I’m lucky too because the woman that I love is going to be my wife.”
“Yeah, yeah, Mr. Cheesy!” she rolled her eyes..
“Sandy…”
“Hmm?”
“Thank you” she stare at him..he continued.
“Thank you for being my best friend. God knows how grateful I am for having you by my side. I could not ask for any other best friend than you and if it’s possible, I’ll make you my best man. I just hope that you could feel the happiness I feel now for finding love because you truly deserve it.”
“What the hell is happening to you?!I let you get married didn’t I? Why do you want to sabotage me in your wedding by ruining my make up?” Sandy's eyes becomes teary.
“Get married right away so the headaches I get from you would be lessen.” Julian smile as she puts on an annoyed tone.
“And one more thing, you look beautiful today.”
“What do you mean today?! I naturally look beautiful!”
“Son, Sandy, let’s be ready because the bride is here”. Julian’s mother told them.
The wedding march start playing …Helene looks fantastic in her wedding gown as she walks down the aisle. If only this woman know how she envy her. When Julian and Helene reached the altar, Sandy's tears started to run down her cheeks. It really hurt knowing that she lost him completely and she doesn’t have the rights anymore to love him even in secrecy. She's fully aware that what she have is a one sided love. She stepped down as she realized that they love each other and decided to support them all the way. And now they’re in front of her exchanging vows without knowing that she's suffering. Her mother puts her hand on her back showing her support. She knows what Sandy feels because she never hide anything from her.
I can't shelter you forever. I must let go so that I can free myself.
