Jared's side of the story

He ran inside the hospital. He was there in the yacht anxiously waiting for her arrival. One hour turned to two, three, and four. He started worrying so he called her but she’s not answering.

Thoughts started swirling on his mind then he received a short call from her. She just told him that she’s in the hospital. Something’s off with her and he knew it. She sounded disoriented and didn’t say anything aside from the name of the hospital.

Oh God…if something happened to her I swear, I don’t know what I’ll do….   He stopped upon seeing her. Sandy is seating outside the emergency room. There’s a lot of blood stain in her dress, hands, and neck. She’s staring at nothing with traces of dried tears in her face.

“Sandy ….” He ran into her.

“What happened? Are you hurt?” he checked her worriedly. She looked at him slowly.

“Jared….”

“Oh God…did something happened to you? Tell me, are you hurt somewhere?” he cupped her face on his hands.

“I was on my way…someone called me…Julian and Helene met an accident…I came to the place…There’s so much blood…Julian…he’s not opening his eyes no matter how much I call his name…”

“What about Helene?” he saw her eyes sparkled with tears.

“Helene....Helene…she was on my arms…then they said she’s gone…they said she’s dead..” She started crying.

Even Jared was shocked by the news. He embraced her tightly.

He doesn’t know what to say so he just let her cry in his arms.

Sandy's side of the story

 “Auntie…you should go home…take a rest…Don’t worry, I’ll watch over Julian tonight…”

“I can’t…I need to be beside my son until he wakes up..” Julian’s mother is still weeping.

“You’re still tired from the flight…please have some sleep. Don’t let Julian be worried of you too Auntie…” Sandy tried to convince the old woman.

“That’s right…you need to rest as well..” her mom seconded.

“Mom, Dad please take Auntie home for now….”

“Leave her to us…take care of yourself too and give us a call if something happens..” Mr. Shin said.

She watched their car go. Sandy looked back at the spot where Helene’s remains were laid.

She swallowed hard with the taught of Julian not seeing his beloved wife for the last time.

“Sandy” she nodded as Jared led her inside his vehicle.  He was wearing an all-black attire just like her.

“Before we head to the hospital, could we please make a stop at my house for a while?”     He finished putting on her seatbelt for her then he stared.

“We need to change our clothes…I wouldn’t want him to know about the burial right away if he wakes up..” Jared nodded before starting the engine.

“You should eat…you haven’t eaten anything since this morning…” Jared looked at her with worried eyes.
