Emma's POV

My hands were shaking. No, no they were rapidly moving in short motions with a force that could whack someone. Now just to be clear I'm not nervous, I'm excited. Ellie is going to be here and I'm just waiting in anticipation of meeting my best friend.

"Well if it isn't my favourite girl."

"Ellie!" I literally shot up from the chair and tackled him to the ground. "I've missed you." I grip him in a bear hug

"I've missed you too sweet girl, it's not the same without you." Ellie sits us back down. Not to mention the amount of heads turned in the restaurant just now to witness our little PDA.

"Tell me everything." And so Elliot did. He told how my parents have been having a fit since my disappearance and that my mother refuses to go to any parties because of the endless questions pertaining me. Father is determined to find me and keeps hounding Ellie and Jordan to reveal my location which they have successfully avoided. Brendon misses me and I guess on some level, I miss him too.

"Now your turn." Ellie nudges me with his elbow.

"Mine?"

"What's up with the brooding hottie with a secret stash of millions."

"Oh Ellie I really don't know. I have so many questions to ask him, which I will, but first, there's an opportunity for me to play live and I'm thinking about taking it."

"You should do it, I mean it." Ellie says seriously. "Wasn't a major part of running away so that you could pursue music?"

"Yes it was. But I don't have my material, my instruments. Everything is back home." Ellie rolls his eyes.

"So? Big deal. This city is your home now. Besides I may or may not have bought you a guitar and gotten it delivered to your house." I smiled, touched by this. "You shouldn't have. I'll pay you back for it. I have to find a way to pay Leo back as well." I get another eye roll.

"Look up the definition of a gift and also you do know he likes you right?" I spit out the water from my mouth and start choking.

"You're," Cough. "Joking right?" Cough, cough.

"Girl open your damn eyes. He's giving you a roof, he gotten you a bodyguard, he saved your ass and let you go, okay he did kidnap you but still it's the thought that counts and come on the 'no boys rule."

"Maybe he's gay and doesn't want us to hit on the same guy." I shrug off the warm feeling pooling in the pit of my stomach. "I can only wish." I hear Ellie whisper and I chuckle.

"I really think he kinda low key hates me." I say. "I don't have the time or crayons to explain this to you Emma, I gotta go."

"Why?"

"Hair appointment, I don't just wake up looking this awesome. Now give me your address, I'll come over." I expectantly gave Ellie all my details and head home. I was on cloud nine after what Elliot said. Was there a chance Leo actually liked me? Anyways it's not like I would act on it. I don't like him back.
