Recap:

His hair was disheveled and messy. His shirt crumpled and creased. His expression tired and defeated. I followed the direction of his eyes and that's when I saw a couple of bulky men enter and surround us. I instinctively grab Leo's hand and stand beside him ready to face what's coming. But never in a million years did I ever think that I would be facing this.

Dread can be a very small thing. So quiet, that you can't even hear it. But then it becomes loud. Really loud. And you can't ignore it anymore.

It was like someone had put me in a trance. I could see everything but yet I couldn't move a finger. The voices around me were muffled and distant. There was one distinct voice that called out to me again and again. Somehow I managed to follow the voice. It was familiar, extremely familiar and only when I saw its owner, did my fears take a realistic form.

"Dad, What are you—" my voice comes out hoarse and hush. My father was dressed neatly in a suit just like always. But his face was sad, clearly indicating the affect of my absence.

"What are you doing here? How did you know I'm here?", I say more clearly. My father who I love was standing right in front of me. I could touch him and hug him with raised arms but I couldn't move. My body stood frozen contrary to my mind that was running on overdrive.

"I was informed of your whereabouts", my father replies calm and composed.

"From whom?", I ask determined and strict but he doesn't answer me.

Who could it be? Brendon promised not to tell and I know Ellie and Jordan would never tell on me. I look back at Leo, hoping to find some answers. Leo's eyes don't meet mine as he looks straight ahead at nothing in particular.

His face is contoured in guilt and his inability to look at me was beyond sketchy. It takes me a few seconds to piece the puzzle together and then, the realisation strikes me like lightening.

"Did you call him?", he looks down, not saying anything.

"Did you?", I ask again.

"Answer me!", I yell.

"Yes!"

"No", I whisper in disbelief.

No. Why would he do this? It doesn't make any sense. Why?!

"You need to go with your father", I hear him say the words that only dull my senses and spike my hurt.

"No! I won't. You can't make me. Neither of you can", I point my finger between my father and Leo.

"Emma you are coming with me even if it means that I have to drag you out". My father warns. Where was he when I needed him all these years. He wasn't there when I needed someone to talk to. He wasn't there when I felt hopeless. And he sure as hell won't get me back that easily.

"Then I guess you'll have to drag me because I'm not leaving"

"Emma, your mother and I want you back, please darling, it's time to come home"
