Emma's POV

It's Saturday and no, I'm not kicking back and relaxing, I am jogging my ass off so that I can fit into a dress that I have to wear tonight.

Leo thought it would be fun to let me know at the very last minute that I have to attend a gala, for what benefit you may ask. Well you will never know because I can't remember that now. And yes, I am going with him. Is it a date? No, because he didn't really ask me out.

"There's gala tonight, wear something nice." That's all he said to me and abruptly left. Stacey being the godsend she is, hooked me up with the most beautiful jade coloured mermaid dress. The only problem is my lazy butt has to squeeze into it.

After taking a cold shower, I run to the kitchen to get something to drink. "Jesus Christ." I yelp when Bennett arrives from behind.

"Nope just me." He takes a seat by the island. "How do I look?" He asks pointing at himself. I give him a full body scan and a approving nod.

"Absolutely dashing." I say.

"Just what I was going for." He smugly replies and I have to control the urge to throw a potato at his head. It's almost 7 so Ellie and Stacey are coming over to help me and themselves get ready. At times like this I really miss Jordan.

"You are sure that I can bring Ellie right?" I ask Bennett. "Yup, you can bring a whole country if you'd like but I rather you didn't—" This time I do throw that potato at his head, which he unsuccessfully dodges.

"Besides you're with Leo, that basically makes royalty now." At the mention of his name I find my cheeks getting warm. "It's not a date."

"Leo isn't romantic, trust me for him this was like buying you a bouquet of flowers." Before I can answer the doorbell rings and Ellie's more than required dramatic entry starts. "Make way for Moi ladies." Ellie enters but stops when he see Bennett.

"Well, what do we have here?" Ellie walks up to Bennett, who looks very clearly awkward. "The name's Elliot." Ellie winks at Bennett and Stacey and I laugh. "Nice to meet you, I'm going to go." Bennett shrugs and leaves.

"Stop hitting on everything that moves Ellie!"

"Oh shut up a guys gotta eat." I roll my eyes at his cheekiness and we head up to get changed. "Who is this pink cocktail dress for?" I ask and Ellie and Stacey exchange naughty looks.

"That'll be for me." My eyes widened so big that they might have popped out of their sockets.

"Oh my god Jordan!" I give her a bear hug.

"I've missed you like hell, I cannot believe this" I shower her with kisses.

"How? When? Where? Who? I, you, Ellie!" They all burst out laughing."I wanted to surprise you and Stacey gave me Leo's number and well, he got me an invite."

"So you all were in this and I presume you all also knew about the gala before me." They didn't need to say anything, their expressions spoke for them. We resume getting ready or at least tried, Ellie decided to dance to anaconda again.
