❝thinking that i'm good, but you know i'm 'bout to relapse ❞
—Got You On My Mind, NF
there's fleeting smiles
placed on my cracked lips
a full grin one day
then a somber expression the next
the laughter
the tears
the heartbreak
the pain
there's a faint smile
which spreads into a grin
and tells of a day of laughter
a day of joy
the sunshine is enough
to block the rain and thunderclouds out
and drown the clouds
in sugary, yellow dreams
but sometimes
the rain prevails
the thunderclouds boom
and the clouds block the sugary sun
the feeling comes back
and how I wish I held on
to the sunshine and sugar
before I relapsed back
to my old thunderclouds
