butterfly kisses on dark skin honey dripping from parted lips all of it i sucked in like pure oxygen
your words spun gold from flax your kisses melted reality your hugs filled my emptiness all of it i sucked in like pure oxygen

with your golden words you left a little fracture in my heart which broke a little more when someone mentioned your name

and i have learned that the moral of the story is this: don't make promises when you can't keep them because it hurts like bee stings prickling flower-scented skin
