Chapter 21

(Three weeks later)

Normal Pov

You wake up in the same crappy cell that Solovoy dragged you out of every day. The metal "bracelets" as Solovoy called them are chafing your wrists. You are wearing a baggy tank top and tiny shorts that some guard gave you after the first day. You have no idea what time it is let alone what day. You haven't seen the outside world in what you can assume to be about a month. You have accumulated more cuts and bruises over the past couple weeks and the stab wound hasn't fully healed but it feels better than it has. There is an old unchanged bandage around your side covering the stab wound and the branding burn. You are worried that if it remains unchanged for much longer you are going to get an infection. You slowly sit up trying not to hurt your side and you look out of your cell. You are still having trouble walking but it's easier than it was before, instead of having to hold onto the wall you can limp your way to where you need to go.

You watch Hydra agents pass by. You are trying to figure out the ranking system they have going. It has something to do with the armbands. Just as your about to lie back down you see Solovoy at the end of the hall walking towards you at a fast pace. You roll your eyes preparing for whatever psychotic "activities" he has prepared for today.

"Hello sweetheart how are you today" he says taking the key out of his pocket. Just as your about to open your mouth to respond he interrupts you.

"You know what I don't care. Today is a very exciting day." He opened the door and threads a metal rod through the loops on your "bracelets".

You arrive at the same damn room that he takes you to every day but instead of strapping you to the metal table like always he walks you to the wall. Solovoy puts his hand on the wall and pushes. You enter a room and see a padded chair with restraints on it, it kinda looks like a dentist chair. There are also a bunch of cabinets surrounding the room.

He takes you to the chair and straps you in. You watch his every move. He walks over to a mini fridge and pulls out a test tube holder full of glass cartilages that are holding a glowing yellow liquid.

"I have been given the go ahead to use this special injection on you" Solovoy says as he walks over to you. "I'm sure you remember the New York attack of 2012 when we got our hands on the mind stone. Well before the avengers managed to get it back we were able to do some tests with it and this is the product of many years of extensive research. This serum is going to put you in more pain then I could ever induce physically. It might even kill you who knows all I know is this is going to break you and I can't wait to watch."

You watch as he puts the cartridge into a syringe and prepares it.

"I'm sure it won't be as bad as seeing your disgusting face every day" you reply.

"I thought you would learn not to back talk me by now, after this procedure you are never going to back talk me again you'll be my little puppet on a string" he says walking over to you. "Now be a good girl and don't try to resist it will only hurt you more".

Solovoy takes the syringe and lines it up with a vain in your arm and plunges the needle into your skin injecting the glowing liquid. As soon as it enters your body you it starts to burn. You scream as the liquid travels through your bloodstream making your veins glow yellow. It feels like you're getting torn into shreds. The serum is quickly taking its hold on your body burning you from the inside out.

"Usually only the strongest of beings are able to hold an infinity stone let alone use its powers but since this is only the essence of a stone our scientists were able to alter the serum a bit. We discovered that humans could withstand the power of the essence from an infinity stone. although only 45% of the patients have survived the trials" Solovoy said. "Nighty night ms. Stark" and everything went black.

You wake up in your cell still in pain from the injection. You sit up and look around noticing that your wounds are healed and minimal scars are left behind. What the fuck did that serum do to me you thought, though you weren't complaining. Suddenly you hear a commotion and see Hydra soldiers running towards the end of the hall. You hear gunshots and see people flying left and right.

Out of nowhere you see something flying towards your cell. You duck and cover afraid it's a bomb but when you don't feel an explosion you look up and are shocked by what you see. It's Captain America's shield. I'm saved you thought. You decide to make your presence known and scream "I'M HERE ITS ME Y/N I'M HERE"

You wait a second to listen for a response and you see a figure run towards you.

Its Spiderman.

You are so relieved you start crying. "P..Peter" you say.

"Y/N I found you" he says as he gets to your cell breaking the lock and opening the door.

"Peter is that really you" you ask touching his face

"Yes Y/N it's me I'm right here" he says hugging you.

"Peter you don't know how good it is to see you" you say hugging back so tightly afraid that he is just a dream.

"Y/N I've been so worried I've missed you so much I.. I.... I've given up searching for you. We're never coming to save you" Peter's tone of voice changes to something of disgust.

"Your weak Y/N, I'm already over you, no one is looking for you they think your dead. You've been gone so long that we've given up. No one is coming for you. No one remembers you". Peter starts smiling giving you the same shit eating grin that Solovoy gives you.

"No" you say "no..no...nononono it... it felt so real I thought you were really here." you say dropping down in shock.

"That's the power of the mind stone you are still lying in that chair strapped down and suffering while that pervert watches over you. These visions will happen over and over again each time you believing that I'm really here that I'm here to save you and each time I'll break your heart, your mind until there's nothing left" Fake Peter says.

"What are you" you ask through tears.

"I'm your worst nightmare" he responded and as soon as you broke down the cycle began again.
