Chapter 2 - On My Mind

King Myoui chuckles and strokes his beard before whispers to Mina and makes gestures as a signal to introduce herself too.

Mina elegantly bowed, "It's a pleasure to be here, my name is Myoui Mina, princess from the Myoui Kingdom, and I hope we could get along in the future"

(both Kings chuckles)

Princess Chae bows her head and gives a smile to Mina as a response to her introduction.

Mina's heart skipped a beat, she recognized that smile,

Oh no, what a bad timing, AAAAAAAAA

To keep her professionalism she bowed and smiled back.

The Kings start to discuss and drink, meanwhile, the princess stays quiet while the Kings keep having a chit-chat. Mina couldn't help but to keep stealing a glance at princess Chaeyoung to make sure is she really the same person she saw this afternoon until they accidentally make an eye-contact, Mina startled and look away.

As her heart rate keeps increasing, Mina tries to take a few deep breaths to calm her down.

A Farmer?

A Princess?

A farmer disguising as princess??

A hand appeared in front of Mina, offering a handshake, she snapped to reality and look beside her to find out the Kings are too drunk and dozed off on the table.

"Let's get along in the future" Chaeyoung showed her toothy grins.

Mina blankly accepts the handshake without saying anything, her mind froze for a second.

"Are you surprised to see me?" she asked with friendly smiles.

"Y-yes," Mina replied shortly.

"You are the only person who knows I hang around the town freely, Please don't tell my father okay?" she pleaded with both of her hands.

Mina smiled, "alright,"

Chaeyoung stares at her, scanning Mina's face, "thankyou, anyway you're even more beautiful this close! especially when you smile, hahah smile more~"

"hahah", Mina smiled wider from the compliment, "oh! I want to ask something, Princess Chae" Mina took the pouch from her robe, "I saw you bringing a basket full of this"

Mina opens the pouch, revealing the red fruits inside, "Do you know what fruit is this?"

"It's strawberry!!!" Chaeyoung beamed, "The whole Son kingdom knows about this fruit!!"

Strawberry?
Mina blankly stares at her excited reaction.

Chae scratch her nape, "umm, Can I have one?"

"Sure" Mina took one and give it to her.

Chaeyoung leans forward and opens her mouth, asking Mina to feed her.

She's still a baby?
Mina smiled and feed the strawberry to her.

"Thank you, princess Mina!" Chaeyoung grinned, enjoying the strawberry.

"Just call me Mina"

"Then you should call me Chaeyoung too" she smiled again.

"Alright, Chae...young"

"I like you! let's be friends!" Chaeyoung toothy grinned.

WHaT!? WaiT what!!??
"mmm," Mina just nods, as a yes. then eat one of the strawberries to hide her flustering, yet seconds later her face turns sour and made Chaeyoung burst into a silent laugh, "ㅋㅋㅋ, Sour isn't it?"

"yes, it's sour!" Mina still adjusting her face.

"Strawberry is an interesting fruit! not only the beautiful appearance, but it also has interesting tastes too! sometimes it's too sour sometimes less, and some strawberries are sweet! It has been my favourite since I was small" Chaeyoung sounds really delighted to share her own favourite fruit.

Mina smiles and mumbles, "cute..."

"Pardon?" Chaeyoung didn't hear it well.

!? "I said w-weird, you are weird," Mina said panicked.

Chaeyoung chuckles, "I'm weird? but you did buy some for yourself"

"I-i was just... just curious"

"Right? the strawberry is really interesting! The first time i see a strawberry, umm, It's a long time ago when I followed my mom to her garden. The strawberry caught my attention even the plant is a hundred meters away, the colour is so contrast and attractive"

Mina who was sitting across listening to Chaeyoung long-winded story, while supporting her head with her hand, gazing at the person in front of her.

"So I secretly pick one and eat by myself, Then get busted by my mother, when she saw a plant without strawberry on it and I'm running around with red stain on my clothes, Hehehe, I miss those time so much"

'cute, cheerful, talkative, a baby'
Mina was smiling all along.

"Judging from your smile, so you like my story huh?" Chaeyoung proudly said, "Tomorrow I will bring you somewhere, I wanna show you something"

if you tell a long-winded story to a new person you just met, they will fall asleep, luckily you are sharing your story with me, Chae

At the Royal guest chamber, Mina is still lost in her thoughts, while her father is already in deep sleep.

So the farmer I met today is the princess of the Son Kingdom, no wonder, the fabric of her attire is different, She is a very cheerful princess, not like me, who just keep quiet in the palace all day, should I wander in the town like her? So I could become a cheerful person?
