Chapter 44 - you lose

They have a chit chat like what they usually do when they meet, sipping and enjoying the tea brewed by Sana.

The one who always got her eyes on Mina while having a chit chat, Chaeyoung realized something off, the way Mina talk is so..., and her stares is not Mina at all.

"We hope to see you soon," Jeongyeon bowed his head and grins while holding his son on his arms, "Ryu, say byebye"

Ryuto is so shy, waving to Mina then hiding his face into Jeongyeon clothes.

Jeongyeon chuckles, "ㅋㅋㅋ, he is like that, sometimes so shy then become so naughty and bold then shy again, hahahah"

Mina could only smile at the little kid.

"where is my byebye Ryuto!?" Chaeyoung complains.

Ryuto still refuses.

"serves you right, Chaeyoung ㅋㅋㅋㅋ alright we're going to the farm, see you when I see you" Jeongyeon waved at them and left, the two waved back and left too.

"the day is still so bright, why don't we walk around or chill at the empty land?" Chaeyoung asked.

"i'm tired" Mina replied nonchalantly.

Chaeyoung then grabs Mina's collar, pulls it and saw nothing on Mina's clavicle,

Mina frowned, "what are you doing?!"

Chaeyoung let go of her hand and sits down, "I thought it was only me... does it hurt?"

"no" Mina coldly replied.

"I have no idea why it could happen... did I miss something? what happened?" Chaeyoung worriedly asked.

"nothing, really" Mina looks away.

Suddenly her eyes focused on Mina's hand, "Mina-ya, u didn't wear the ring? ㅋㅋㅋ and also bracelet I gave you, I'm really sure it will look beautiful on your wrist"

"what?" Mina puzzled.

"you didn't receive it? I did remember I ask Nererri to deliver it to you, maybe she has forgotten, no worries :) hahah, i will get it for you now," "Nerreri~!"

oh shit! Mina thought, by this time the squad probably already get rid of her.

"what was that?? Nerreri!!! Oh gosh, where is she?!" Chaeyoung stands up and exits her chamber, gasped when she saw all the guards lying on the ground, Soulless.

Mina sits quietly like she knows it all.

"Mina! Mina! Mina!!!" Chaeyoung barged to the chamber and grab Mina's hand, "let's run away!!"

Mina shove her hand away, "don't touch me! who do you think you are?"

"???? Mina?" Chaeyoung stares at her in disbelief, 

"did you really think i gave my heart to you, huh? Son chaeyoung hahahah, you're just a princess from the Low Kingdom who rely on allies supply, How dare you look down on me!?" Mina laughed by herself.

Chaeyoung frowns deeper as she get confused by Mina's unusual behavior, and somehow those words stings,"i-i think.. there's misunderstanding between us and now we got no time to waste!! our life is in danger!! come on!!' Chaeyoung raised her voice, pulling the older's hand.

"our?" Mina smirked, "Tss, more like yours"

"Minari..?"

In light speed, Mina strangle her from the back, then whispers to Chaeyoung's ear "you shouldn't start a game if you can't even play it, you had chosen the wrong opponent, Son Chaeyoung,"

"n-....,....,.. M..-mi!..-....,na!....," Chaeyoung kept hitting Mina's arms uselessly as she struggled to breathe when Mina's arm continues to squeeze her neck, cutting off her air supply.

"Tss" Mina let go of her, Chae fell to the ground as her knees goes weak. she keeps coughing and gasping to breathe.

Mina smirked again, looking down on her, "tell me, how does it feel? is it suffocating??" Mina bends down, caressing her cheeks, "do you want to know how I feel???"

Chae frowned, "YES!!! WHATEVER IT IS!! *coughs since the red string vanished, I don't know !! how you feel !! *breathing heavily

"well, well, well... as you wish," Mina draw a knife from the sheath, at the sight, Chaeyoung alarmed, thinking Mina will stab her soon.

Mina playing with the knife, "I killed a lot of people in my life, so" Mina trace down using the knife, "killing you is just a piece of cake"

Chaeyoung now believes Mina could stan her without hesitation,

From the self-defense she learned, Chaeyoung could shove Mina's hand away in a second and take over the knife to place at Mina's neck easily.

Chaeyoung couldn't bring herself to do it, she could only sigh and shut her eyes.

Mina in front of me is not Minari...

"This is!" Mina stabs Chaeyoung's heart, "How I Feel!"

"Akh!" Chaeyoung groaned, her robes soon stained with blood that keeps flowing out.

leaving the knife there, Mina burst into victory laugh, "hahahah HAHAHAHAH, how is it? can you bear it?"

your eyes are not... not Minari at all  Chaeyoung sorrowfully stares at Mina despite the knife is on her chest, she starts tearing up,

"i-am-sorry---if-I-made-you---feel-that-way"

"what?" Mina disdainfully stares back, didn't expect that reply.

blood was seen, flowing out from Chaeyoung's lips, she takes a deep painful breath.

"i-hope-this-would-help-you-come-back" Chaeyoung grab Mina's collar, tug it hard, she hugs Mina tightly, letting the knife goes deeper until the shiny metal had disappeared inside her and the black handle was pushing against Mina's chest, Chaeyoung just shuts her eyes as the excurating pain becomes unbearable.

Mina puzzled, it's out from her expectations, "???"

Mina breaks the hug and shouts, "hey answer me! why did you betray me!?"

Chae's face turns white and whiter. Her hands fall to her side as energy escapes her,

"Answer me before you die!!!" Mina shakes Chae's shoulders, Hey!! SON CHAEYOUNG!"

Chaeyoung hands slowly taking out a box from her pocket, then sneak it inside Mina's pocket, she just smiled widely until her dimple shows.

Mina annoyed, "what a crazy psycho you are Chae!? you still able to smile?!"

Chae stopped breathing even though tears keep escaping from her closed eyes.

"I still won't forgive you, Son Chaeyoung" "your soul is not enough, I will take your father and everyone you love, last but not least, Jeongyeon's family, He supported your plan DAMN well? Son Chaeyoung, you lose the game"
