Chapter 22 - hhhhh

[at the Myoui Kingdom]

Mina passed out as soon as they entered the Myoui Kingdom area, hugging her horse's neck, she didn't fall down to the ground, her brilliant horse was aware of it and walk slowly until they got into the palace.

"GUARDS!! GUARDS!!" Nayeon shouted and they rush to help Mina.

Nayeon couldn't carry Mina due to the wound make her arm powerless. The guards trying to get Mina down from her horse, carefully. Some guards rush to send the information, and Dubu comes in no time.

"I heard both of you were kidnapped, what actually happened?" Dubu asked Nayeon while he slowly lay his sister to the bed.

"it was my fault, my highness, I failed to protect princess Mina,"

"Don't blame yourself, you did your best, Mina will be alright" Dubu wiped all the sweat from Mina's forehead.

Not long after, their mother comes along with a palace physician to check on Mina's condition. The physician takes Mina's hand out and place his fingertip on the area below her palm. Everyone is waiting for the physician responses, after several minutes he came to his conclusion,

"She is just too exhausted and caught a cold, fortunately there are no internal injuries, I will prescribe the medication for the cold, for now just let her rest, make sure to fill her stomach when she wakes up"

Everyone is relieved to hear what the physician said, They thought it was something worse. Then the physician asked Nayeon to sit down and treat her wound, she closes her eyes, bearing with the sting pain when the wound is getting cleaned by alcohol.

"Who did this?" Dubu asked.

"It's the Black Falcon Clan, my highness"

"I will never let them off..." Dubu murmured with a mad face.

Nayeon just sighs while her arm getting wrapped with bandages.

"Do tell us when she wakes up," said Queen Myoui.

"Algesseumnida, my highness"

Nayeon lowered her head until they left the chamber, just two of them in the room. She just sits on the floor at the bedside, covering her own eyes with her hands.

"It's all my fault...,"

[The next afternoon]

Mina barely opened her eyes, relieved when she realized she was in her own chamber.

Did Chaeyoung safely arrive at her home too?

"Princess... are you okay?" Nayeon holds her hands as she kneeled down at the bedside.

"i'm..., umm"

"the physician said you got a cold, do you feel unwell or hurt somewhere?" Nayeon concerndly asked.

"I'm hungry..."

Nayeon sighed, relieved with a small curved lip and stand up from the floor, "i'll be back, princess"

Dubu comes with some servants to bring a small feast for the hungry penguin, Mina takes a bowl complete with meat for Nayeon, won't accept any 'No' from her, even though she rejected it many times, Dubu makes a 'just take it' expression, Nayeon accept it and left politely.

Dubu calmly watches her sister eat, relieved to see her sister to still have those appetites although that incident just happened last night.

"Where is father?" Mina asked between her bites.

"I will tell you after you finished"

Mina speeds up her munch and finished the food in no time, waiting for her brother to tell her.

"Father is sick, his condition is so bad, last night when he heard you were kidnapped he hold his chest and collapsed," Dubu sighed.

Mina stands up from her seat, "What!? Take me there NOW!"

"Calm down yourself first, Mina"

"please bring me there, hyung.."

Dubu takes a deep breath and rise up from his seat.

[in the King's chamber]

"my daughter, hhhhh" King Myoui chuckles weakly, seeing Mina is fine in front of him.

"don't laugh, just rest," said Mina in monotone, she actually worried about his father.

Dubu just stands there watching them, holding his tears well.

I saw blood on his palm when he coughed, that night. 

The palace physician said King Myoui has a very rare internal heart disease, the cure is not yet to be found in the present time. Now all of the palace physicians are working to get the cure of it.
