Chapter 42 - poi_son

The morning is so quiet, no words come out from Mina's lips, she just blankly stares at the ceiling, then take a look at her surroundings, she saw Nayeon afar, sitting straight with her eyes closed, sleeping.

Looking at the other side, she saw the covered set of food, that moment her stomach crumbled, famished yet have no appetite to eat.

*soft knock

Mina shuts her eyes back, pretends to sleep. Nayeon snapped back from her dream, take a glance of Mina, then slowly stand up, approaching the door.

Nayeon received a package from the Son Kingdom. specifically, it's from Chaeyoung.

Nayeon thought it might cheer her up, "Mina-ya, please? I know you woke up a while ago, I beg you, please at least eat something,"

"I don't want to eat," said Mina in monotone.

"Chaeyoung sent food for you, let's get up and eat, please?" Nayeon pleads again.

Mina briefly glared at the package on the table. The fire inside will never be suppressed, resentful.

Chaeyoung? tss

yea, Nayeon didn't know, I haven't told her yet...

Mina try to get up slowly, after two nights staying in the same place, on the bed for the whole time. Finally, she could feel how weak her body is, her head felt heavy, which made her grunts while pressing her own forehead.

"let me help you" Nayeon assist her to the table.

"t-thanks..." Mina sits down.

Nayeon takes the meds prescribed by the physician, "please eat this first,"

Mina hummed and just takes the meds. she made an ugly face. Ew, what taste is this?

"Hahah, it's bitter right?" Nayeon asked.

Mina blankly nods.

Nayeon smiled and opened the package, there is a jar of soup and a letter, "here" she gives Mina the letter, then pour the soup into a bowl.

"I heard you were sick so here is a Tonic soup, get well soon Minari~"

Ha ha ha, bullshit!  "Tss" Mina nose exhaled, scornful smirked.

Nayeon smiled again, "only chaeyoung could cheer you up?" then she prepares the arrangement of plates and bowls neatly, "here" she gave Mina the spoon.

Mina eats a few of the veggies and meats but then she keeps eating a spoonful of rice and eat it plainly.

"why do you keep eating rice?" Nayeon asked.

"it's all,, tasteless to me..."

"come on, you should stay strong! once you recovered, we could go to the son kingdom and you could meet chaeyoung, wouldn't it be nice?"

lol, nice indeed~ Mina smirked again, 

"come on, try the soup too"

Mina slowly nods and take a spoonful of the soup sent by Chaeyoung, should i eat this rubbish? should i not? should i? should i not? geez, should i just tell Nayeon everything?!

Nayeon forcefully hit Mina's hand which cause her to drop her spoon, Mina startled, looking at Nayeon with that puzzled blank eyes. "hmm??"

The silver spoon turns green. The soup was poisoned.

"sorry, princess! I didn't mean to!" Nayeon panicked.

Mina just blankly stares at the spoon, so now... you want me dead? isn't it a bit too early, Chae? alright, as you wish, The old Myoui Mina has died today.

Tch, well, to not let the dead lonely, i guess i should take you too :]

"get this shit outta here" Mina rise from her seat, coldly order Nayeon to throw away the soup.

Nayeon startled at the harsh words from Mina, but it was expected, of course, who will not be angry in this kind of situation?

"iye," Nayeon just obey what Mina said, and left the chamber.

Mina still felt kinda dizzy yet want to distract herself, she try to go to the palace garden. The mess she made two days ago was cleaned up, only left with the empty section which previously is where the strawberry plants are. She chuckles at the empty section.

The other plant seems fine, there is still mud visible on those few plants. Mina didn't even bother to clean it, she doesn't wish to tend any plants today, as everything starts to lost meaning to her.

Walking around the garden before sunset, she felt gardening is not her thing anymore.

gardening is troublesome,

I will just let them take care of it,

that's it, farewell my plants~

The sunset in front of her eyes doesn't even amuse her a bit, she just turned around and walked to the gate, she noticed the slight oranye reflected on her ring,

"Tss" she smirked and pulled it out, throw it to the ground of soil, not enough to satisfy her, she stepped and rub it with his foot harshly, filled with hatred, then she left the garden.

She walked past the training area, just take a look at them for a while, the soldiers immediately stand in line and bow to greet her. Mina just nod and sway her hand as a signal for them to go back to training.

They bowed again and get back to training again.

[at Mina's chamber]

Her head felt heavy, she slowly walks in and sees Nayeon is already waiting for her.

"where did you go? you need to take your meds, princess" Nayeon worriedly asked while taking the meds from the table.

"just walking around" Mina shrug it off.

"please eat your meds and dinner" Nayeon offered with a glass of water on the other hand.

Mina just gulp it down, "I took the meds, can I pass the dinner?"

"..., but—

"and another thing, from now on, i will not doing any gardening anymore, so u take care of it, I don't care about the placing, so suit yourself"

Her tone is not like usual, more like a monotone, a lot of things have changed, nobody could see the curve on her lips anymore, except the disdain type.

Her eyes are not the same anymore.

Is that even a living person's eyes?

"Did you not hear what i said?" Mina stares at her, furrowed her brows.

Nayeon startled, "i-iye, i will take care of it"

"now leave me alone" Mina not giving a glance.

Nayeon internally sigh, bow and left the chamber.

After she heard the door closed, she freely falls to her bed, not willing to change her attire. she starts getting used of crying every night, which now she didn't sobs.

yet tears flows freely without warning, she quietly closes her eyes with heavy sighs.

It still hurts...
