Chapter 40 - Letters

Since Mina has promised to Chaeyoung that she would come to the Son Kingdom, Mina clustered all of her courage to ask her brother, after these two years, she thinks it's understandable to ask for.

Dubu agreed to it and volunteer to follow, but Mina straight away reject it. After a short quick chit chat, Mina left his chamber. Dubu could only sigh as he watches her leave.

His mind has been filled with thoughts of Chaeyoung lately as he also converse with her by letters. But he's forgetting something. He has forgotten the fact of his relationship with his sister is already at the stage where they could barely talk.

[ The day before the trip to the Son Kingdom ]

[at Mina's chamber]

"I didn't see you yesterday, where did you go? tomorrow is an important day, you know?" Mina asked.

"ummm," Nayeon seems to struggling to speak up and her eyes direction is not to Mina.

"do you have something to say?" Mina starts to stares at her, a bit worried.

"....first, i apologize for not discussing this beforehand," Nayeon look down.

Mina just continue to stares as she demand Nayeon to spill everything.

"I... I was very concerned about all the letters Chaeyoung writes, so i've been observing the messenger behavior, something is amiss. so yesterday I sneaked into Nererri's room and steal this" Nayeon took out the letters from her robes.

"WhAaT!? You SneakeD into Son Kingdom palace???" Mina abruptly stands up from her seat and look at her in disbelief.

Nayeon scratches her nape as she looks guilty, "princess, I really need to feed or tend the Royal horses right now,"

Mina look at her in disbelief again.

"especially nobody feed them yesterday, the horses must be starving. so here, take the letters first, i will come back in one or two hours, so pleasee calm down, once again, I'm very sorry" Nayeon then hurriedly left the chamber.

Mina let out a heavy sigh and sits down, still don't understand why Nayeon sneaked into Son Kingdom just to steal the letters.

Mina browse the letters, there are only three letters, tied.

These are all Chaeyoung's letters for me?

Mina browse again the letters one by one, this time she read it.

Mina untie her letter first, to read the reply from her beloved Chaeyoung, her sighs turned to smiles as she read through the letter.

it has been 2 years, huh?

tomorrow when I arrived at the palace,

will she bang the door and jump to me like the last time we met?

She giggles when she realized she going to meet them soon. Another two letters has not opened yet, Mina hesitate to give it to her brother or not, then she has an urge to open the 'Jeongyeon' letter.

It must be funny, the letters between them, I wonder if they jokes inside the letter.

Mina chuckles as she untie the letter to Jeongyeon, reading it from the top to the bottom of the letter, her eyes widened.
