Chapter 25 - Mina vs Dubu

A week has passed, the herbs to slow down the disease is not that helpful anymore, on the other side, Mina has recovered from the cold. She accompanies her father every day and starts to worry about his condition.

Dubu still trains very hard every day to show his father that he is not a lazy Dubu anymore. For Queen Myoui, no one knows what she got behind her sleeves.

"WHo Is OutSide!? Anyone! COME IN NOW!" King Myoui shouted.

"Waiting for your order, my highness" a guard came in and lowered his head.

"Call The PHYSICIAN NOW!" He shouted again.

"Algesseumnida, my highness" The guard bowed and left in speed.

"what can I help, my highness?" The physician came in with lowered head.

"Look at this, not just coughing blood, now my nose bleeds too," King Myoui wiping his nose with his handkerchief.

The physician surprised and look down his feet, "its the last stage, herbs won't be any helpful anymore" his voice trailed off.

He kneeled down and bump his head to the ground,

"I lack of acknowledge! I couldn't tell what disease it is! I FAILED as a physician!"

King Myoui sighed, "I'm old, sickness is something very common in this age, It's not your fault, please get up"

"My highness..." He started to cry.

"Hide your tears! I'm still alive, now ask the guard to bring HuBaek here"

"Algesseumnida, my highness" He wiped his tears and take a few deep breaths before leaving the chamber.

King Myoui cleans the blood and hides it away.

"My highness" HuBaek came in and bowed.

"HuBaek, I'm going to write a will, prepare for me now," said King Myoui.

"Pardon?" HuBaek as surprised as the physician.

"Want me to repeat again?" King Myoui stares at his right-hand, HuBaek.

"Ah, yes, I will prepare it now"

The King wrote his will on a royal scroll and stamped with his Temple-Lion gold stamp that only King own it, "keep it safe and announce this after my death"

HuBaek eyes widened after hearing what King Myoui said. Seeing his reaction, King Myoui just pat him on the shoulders,

"what's with that face, haha, I'm old and I'm dying soon, when there is life there is death, I'm prepared" He chuckled.

Hubaek sighed, "I will definitely carry your order, my highness"

A few days later, Dubu asked Mina after those gardening to come to father's chamber, He wants to show his hard work and sweat has finally worth it.

They brought a pair of wooden sword and have a friendly battle in front of King Myoui.

Dubu chuckles, "Let's see who's gonna win"

Mina prepared herself, "bring it on"

He launched the attack and more, Mina dodge all of it like a piece of cake,

"try not to stick at your leaning movement, believe your instinct, Hyung"

"Tss, how about this?" He turns his body to the opposite way attempt to attack the lower area.

"Try faster next time, it's readable" Mina dodged it.

He frowned and stepped back, raising the wooden sword and thinking of the next move.

"Hyaa!" Dubu charge a powerful swung even though it was dodged, He spins left and right as fast as he can to confuse her, but this time he acts like he is going to attack the lower part again yet quickly swung upward to attack Mina's hand.

Mina jumps backward to dodge it and swing the sword to Dubu's neck, "You almost got me"

Dubu cracked a smile, "I lost, hehe"

"But you really improved a lot, Hyung" Mina praised him with a smile.

King Myoui chuckled weakly, "wahh... uri Dubu... has matured... and diligently learns things... I think your lazy title should be taken off... Hahahah"

"Father, your nose is bleeding" Mina innocently stares at him, "Tired? you need to rest a lot"

Mina wants to wipe for his father, she takes the handkerchief from the table and saw the bloodstain. Dubu already in tears.

Mina stares as she waits for the next sentence.

"FATHER!!!" Shocked, both of them runs to their father, Dubu lift King Myoui and held into his embrace, "father....*sobs*"

Mina just sit on the ground, her lips has parted and her eyes widened, she was surprised, speechless, and dumbfounded.

"Hyung... explain to me, why is-"

"Father... has a very rare disease that doesn't have any cure yet, those herbs are just to slow down the disease...*sobs*"

No cure?? DEAD?? I haven't told father... that I love him...

Mina grabbed King Myoui clothes, "Wake Up, father!! I did not allow you to go just like that! I haven't said that... I lov-... I LOVE YOU, father! DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Mina now realized, her father really has passed away, gone for good. Dubu could only let his tears fall,

Sobbing and kept gasping for air. Feeling numb all over her body. couldn't get up even though she tried to. She just lay down to the ground while curling herself like a womb.
