Chapter 26 - King Dubu

After the funeral was held, Hubaek called for a direct important gathering in the Royal Hall and announce the will as he was ordered from the late King. The new position of the guards the setting of it for Dubu who has ascended the throne that day.

Now, the ruler of the Myoui Kingdom is King Dubu.

The late King did arrange a position for his daughter as the highest rank of all, just one rank below the current King. Mina now is not called as princess Mina anymore, she is called as General Mina.

Mina is responsible for all including planning strategies when the Emperor calls out the Myoui Kingdom's troops to defend the nation, She is a very clever person indeed. The first journey of defending nation is led by General Mina was a great success, King Dubu didn't follow the fight, putting his trust on Mina.

A month has passed, Mina is admired by everyone in the palace including all the citizens from the town, they worship her, calling her name as they kneeled down and raising their hand high at the side of the road when that day she came back from the success defend mission from the Emperor.

She did the same thing as the late King did, celebrating by giving free breakfast and distributing raw material the next morning in the middle of the town, She gains everyone's heart which becomes a concern to Queen Myoui.

Mina let her body freefall on the bed, all of her energy drained, till she un-deliberately falls asleep with that attire. Now she is in the dream universe, happily running on the rice field with her soulmate, Chaeyoung. They hold each other's hand and lie down on the field, enjoying the peaceful scenery of the blue sky.

Chae pulls her closer and wraps Mina in her embrace, she showed her gummy smile and chuckles while facing each other in that close distance, yet changed to a poker face and stopped chuckling when their eyes locked. Chae smiled widely, leans forward and pulls Mina's chin with her hand. Mina closes her eyes.

"princess, It's time for your dinner" Nayeon voice was heard from outside and it woke Mina from her dream. Nayeon is the only one who still calls her princess instead of general.

Ahh, Whyyyyy, just a little bit moreeeeee

"Yeah, come in," said Mina, getting up from her bed.

[next morning]

Mina still goes to her garden every day when there is no call, even though it's kinda a little bit weird for a General to do gardening, but everyone knows she loves it.

Not only to the servants and guards but now she also shares the fruits with her fellow troops when it's the harvest season.

"Wuaa, flower!" Mina smiled by herself, touching the flower of the strawberry plant.

It's been a long time since I ate the strawberry, ㅋㅋㅋ already missing the weird sweet sour flavour, it's your weird favourite, Chaeyoung. Why you haven't sent me a letter yet? It has been a month since then.

[at Mina's chamber]

Taking her time, Mina tidy up her chamber with Nayeon, since she didn't let the servants enter, so no one is able to clean her chamber. Papers are stacked to a pile, a bunch of bamboo scroll is stored in the cabinet.

What scroll is this?

Mina untie a scroll that she never read before, there are two rolls of paper, the small one is her favourite, the one with a little strawberry drawing on it.

Since when the scroll is in my possession? She must have been waiting for too long... Why are there two scrolls?

Mina opens the other scroll and awed to see a various drawing of penguin.

So these are penguins? Kiyeowo...

Mina put the penguins' drawings on the table and open the small paper, smiling like an idiot while reading it.
