Chapter 16 - The ring from town

[In the Princess chamber]

Chaeyoung place some stuff on the table, "take off your outer robes"

"What!?" Mina's eyes widened.

"You hurt your shoulder, right? let me see, hopefully, it is not something serious" Chaeyoung searching around the bottles she should use.

Mina only sits on the chair, she was in dilemma whether she should open her outer robes or not.

"?" Chaeyoung tilted her head.

"Alright, i will do it myself" Chaeyoung pulls back Mina's left collar and open her left part outer robes, revealing her bare white shoulders. Mina stares blankly at her without saying anything.

"It's getting longer..."

"Hmm?"

"It's like this long" Chaeyoung describes the length with her finger.

"I didn't hit any rock or any hard object when i fall, there shouldn't be any scratch or wound"

Chaeyoung shakes her head, "No no, it's not that thing, it's the red string"

"Oh" Mina gets a bit nervous.

Chaeyoung take a roll of bandage and opens the ointment bottle, pulls her chair and sits behind Mina.

"Thankfully, it's nothing serious, just bruises there, not really swollen and i think it will heal itself in a week, and these ointments are just to lessen the pain or prevent any potential blood clot" Chaeyoung starts to rubs the ointment on her shoulders back, 

They both fell into silence. Chaeyoung in focus mode, Mina bearing the pain and ticklish at the same time.

As an independent woman, Mina was a bit embarrassed to be helped by the younger one. Usually, when she gets bruises or scratches, she just do it all by herself or let it heal by times , bearing the pain till it has gone. Doesn't want to ask any help from anyone, even from her own family.

"You might feel a bit hot in this area, but it will not as painful as before" Chaeyoung start to bandages her shoulder with a roll of cloth bandage.

"okay" Thank you, Chaeyoung-ah  Mina accidentally mumbles it out.

"Your welcome,"

Mina flinched, "You could read my mind???"

"??? what? you did say it just now" Chaeyoung puzzled.

Did i?  Mina trying to recall did she say it out.

Chaeyoung stares at her and still puzzled, "Are you okay? your face is getting rosy" 

"Umm, did you forgot that I'm ticklish, so..." 

"Ooh, ㅋㅋㅋㅋ" Chaeyoung try to  tickle her waist.

"HaHAAHAHaha, CHaeYOung! staph it" Mina abruptly stands up to escape from her, and a pair of rings fell on the floor.

"ㅋㅋㅋ, woahh what is this??" Chaeyoung bends down and takes both of the rings.

"...." Mina was speechless while looking at what's in Chaeyoung's hand.

Her eyes widened and grins at the rings, "Aren't this the one I choose when we are at the accessories stall?"

"yeah,"

Mina doesn't have a clue what to do next while standing like a statue there. Chaeyoung smiled, stand up and take Mina's right hand, "Isn't this what you want?" she opens Mina's hand and put one into her ring finger,

"Maybe someday, i could buy you a beautiful ring and put on your left ring finger"

Mina was flattered by the younger's word, She didn't say anything as she watches Chaeyoung putting the ring on her finger.

"Now, it's your turn" Chaeyoung gives her the other ring and offered her right hand.

Mina pressed her lips firmly as she gets anxious while putting the ring on Chae.

"thank you, Minari~" Chaeyoung gives a peck on her cheeks.

"umm, your welcome..." Mina smiled at her own hand then Chaeyoung's hand, the rings looks good on them.

"I think you should change your cloth before going to sleep, there is some dirt here," Chae pointed at her robes back.

Mina quickly gain her composure, "Ahh, right, yea you're right"

"ㅋㅋ you can pick whatever you like" Chaeyoung open her nightwear wardrobe.

Mina changes into Chae's durumagi (sleepwear) and lies on the left side of the bed.

"Please don't sleep on your left shoulder, okay?" Chaeyoung said, and it sounds so close to the penguin.

"okay.." Mina turns her body facing the right side so she won't hurt her left shoulder, now she is facing Chaeyoung,

"goodnight" Mina quickly closes her eyes, afraid she might blush when looking at the younger's face this close.

"goodnight~" Chaeyoung smiled at her, but Mina was too quick and didn't see it.

Mina is too ... woww
the closer I look,
the prettier she is.

Chaeyoung awed and mesmerizing the beauty beside her.

Mina got a moles on her cheeks, forehead, nose, and... on her upper lip?

you got so many moles around your lips, ㅋㅋㅋ i only have one

Her lips looks so soft, It taste very soft too. hehehe

Suddenly startled by her own lost thoughts on the first kiss they had, she immediately face the ceiling, couldn't hold the smile inside her. She lifts her right hand and gazes at the ring on her own finger, smiling like an idiot again, until she heard a very light snoring but more like breathing sound beside her,

ㅋㅋㅋ so fast, she must be tired, I'm tired too, I should sleep.

Chaeyoung closes her eyes and starts to think this and that, trying to get lost in her mind to sleep faster. Minutes later she snapped back to reality when she felt a sense of warmth from her left side, She opens her eyes and saw Mina was hugging her waist, squeezing herself to Chaeyoung's chest.

Internally squealing, her heart swelled with this new unknown feeling running inside her like ticklish butterflies. She slowly rotates her body to the left and embrace the sleeping penguin, planting some soft kisses on her crown and smiling to herself before she falls back to sleep.
