Chapter 50 - Guilt

[ the Myoui Kingdom ]

Mina arrived at her home, straight away to her chamber without anybody guarding or escort her.

Dubu was informed about the return of his sister, he immediately walked all the way to her chamber.

[ Mina's chamber area ]

something is amiss, nobody guard around her chamber, Dubu softly knock on the door, "Mina, you returned?"

Mina didn't respond, her mind was somewhere else,

Blank, expressionless.

Dubu slowly slid the door open, "Mina-ya?— he notice Nayeon is not here with her, "where's the other? where is Nayeon?"

Mina snapped back to reality, frowned to see Dubu is here, "don't know,.. I Don't know!!"

Dubu worried to see bloodstains on his sister's robes, asking with caution, "Mina-ya, what happened??"

"I said I Don't Know! Leave Me Alone!!!" Mina stood up from her seat and walk toward Dubu.

Dubu panicked when she coming closer and closer, "Mina..."

"leave my chamber" Mina pushed him away.

"please, Minarii calm down..." Dubu keep getting pushed by her.

until Dubu was outside the door,

When the door started to slam Dubu knew sooner or later Mina definitely will cry but this time he decided to stay.

The only one who cares about Mina right now is him.

He soon notice the ragged sniffling from inside, sounds like she was struggling to hold her sobs.

Mina doesn't know where to rant, Nayeon is not by her side anymore, talking to Dubu is definitely a big 'NO'

Even though she knows he was worried, After the cringy love letter, she couldn't accept him anymore, but to think about it, sooner or later Dubu will know as time goes by,

she just couldn't bring herself to tell him.

All complicated mix of feelings hit her, she breaks down quietly,

"Mina-ya, are you okay? at least please tell me, maybe you could feel better" Dubu really hopes she could share her problem with him.

"..." Dubu didn't respond to it, he looked around.

it was empty. . . and quiet, No assassins guard her chamber anymore,

Dubu signaled to his personal guards to leave them alone, they bowed their head before they left,

He slowly sit down and leaned his head against the wall.

Not long after the silence, Mina starts to cry after she heard the footsteps, she thought they left.

Quietly listening to Mina's sobs, it hurts to hear his precious sister cry, Dubu felt he was useless, he really felt he failed as a brother, he really wants to know and help Mina with everything he could.

In the Kingdom life, yes He is the King, yet deep down he knows best what he failed at.

"...." Dubu couldn't hold his tears anymore, it just freely flowed down through his cheeks while trying his best to not let out any sniffling noise.

"Why do I feel everything is my fault??!!!!"

Mina stares at her hand, then her clothes, blood was everywhere, it's not hers.

didn't realize the blood kinda smudged her face a bit while she wiping her tears just now,

then she shouts again to distract her mind, "it's DAMN Chaeyoung's Fault!!"

Mina flopped down to her bed and sobs harder till it damped her pillows with her tears and smudge of blood.

Guilty is the only thing she felt right now,

No matter how many times she try to convince herself that it's not her fault,

it doesn't work.
