[EDITED]

"You should come." Shawn said through the phone.
I sat down at my desk.

"I don't know, Shawn. Parties aren't my thing. You know I resent the party scene."
"Yeah, but I'm going. And you'll be able to meet the guys."
"I don't know..."
"Come on, please? You'll have fun!"
"Okay. Fine." I said, sighing.

"Promise you'll stay with me though?"
"I promise."
I smiled.

"Okay, I gotta go, but I'll pick you up at six okay?"
"Okay, bye Shawn."
"Bye y/n." he said, hanging up.

I threw my phone lightly on my bed and turned around to finish my homework.

History and math suck.

When I finished I looked at the clock. 5:23.

I sighed. I really wasn't looking forward to going, but a promise is a promise. Shawn knows I'm afraid of everything about parties. They're too loud, they sink, it's a scary place.

I didn't know what to wear, so I played it safe and went with leggings and an oversized shirt.

My phone began ringing and I answered the call.

"I'm outside."
"What? It's only 5:37."
"And?"
"Shawn, you said six."
"But I'm here now. Let's go."
"No."
"I have a key, I can just get in."
"Bet."

I heard a car door close outside and the front door began making noise.

Shawn hung up the call and entered my room.

"Let's go. You'll have fun."
"But I-"
"Y/n, do you trust me?"
"I-yes?"
He rolled his eyes.

"Come on, please?"
"Fine." I said, giving up and following him.

When we arrived, my heart began to race.

"Just relax. It's fine." Shawn said, smiling at me.
I nodded.

I grabbed his hand as we walked through the house.

It was loud and I couldn't hear anything.

Shawn went outside into the backyard and I asked him, "Who are you looking for?"
"My friends."
I nodded.

We waited for a few more minutes until Shawn grew impatient. He didn't know anyone here.

"Hey, let's just go inside. They're playing a game."
I nodded and he dragged me with him inside.

We sat down in a circle with the other people and my palms began sweating.

"Let's play spin the bottle!" someone said.
Everyone began cheering.

I bit my lip, unsure, but Shawn squeezed my hand. I relaxed and they began spinning the bottle. Luckily, it didn't land on me yet. When it was my turn to spin, I looked at Shawn for help. He nodded towards the bottle and I grabbed it, spinning the bottle of glass.

It landed on the person across from me and I hesitantly got closer to him. He smiled at me and asked if it was okay and I nodded. He was sweet.

He quickly pressed our lips together and I felt light. Not only was he cute, but his lips were also soft.

We were kissing until I felt someone pull me off.

I turned around and saw Shawn storming away. I frowned and ran after him.

"Shawn!" I yelled.
He ignored me and left the house.

"Shawn Peter Raul Mendes!" I saw him speed walking across the lawn and quickly ran after him.

He got in his car, but before he could leave, I jumped into the passenger seat.

"Shawn Peter Raul Mendes, what's wrong?"
"N-nothing."
"Mhm. What's wrong?"

He looked away from me.

"You can tell me."
He was quiet for a while until he said, "I couldn't stand seeing him kiss you."
"What, why?"
"You're so oblivious," he laughed. "I've liked you for so long and I literally tried to do everything to get you to realize, but you are the most oblivious person I've ever met."
"Wait, you, you, like me?"
"Yeah."

"Aw, Shawn. I've always had a crush on you but I didn't think you felt the same way."
"Well, I do." he smiled.
