"Are you free tonight?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out."
"Sure." I smiled.

"I'll pick you up around six?"
"I'll be ready."
"Great. I'll see you later!"
"Bye, Shawn." I smiled, hanging up.

Later that night I heard a knock on the door and knew it was Shawn. I opened it and he said, "You ready?"
I nodded. He intertwined our fingers and I locked the door before we walked to his car.

"Where are we going?" I asked, putting my seat belt on, Shawn doing the same.
"Well, I want it to be a surprise." he smiled.
"But I wanna know."
"But if I tell you it wouldn't be a surprise."
"Shawn." I whined.
"Fine, fine. I was going to take us stargazing cause that's what romantic and cliche couples do."
"Awe, cute."
"Very." he laughed.

It took about twenty minutes to get there, but once we arrived, Shawn said, "I have some blankets and pillows in the trunk, and I think we just have to hike up the mountain for a bit."
"Okay, do you have a flashlight?"
"Yep." he said, handing me one.

He opened the trunk and I helped him carry the things.

We began walking up the mountain and about ten minutes in, I said, "How much longer?"
"Not much. I see the benches from here."
I nodded.

Whwn we got there, the sky looked really pretty and you could see the fields at the bottom of the mountain. I stood in awe admiring the view.

"It's pretty, right?"
I nodded.

I heard Shawn moving some things behind me, but focused on the sky.

"Come here." he said.
I turned around and sat down next to him.

"Thanks for taking me here."
"Of course. I'm glad you like it."

He laid down, pulling me with him.

I laid my head on his chest and we sat there for hours talking underneath the stars.
