"Okay, what do you keep looking at?" my sister, Kaelyn, asked.
"N-nothing." I said, turning my focus back to the menu.

I saw her turn around and examine what was behind her.

"Were you staring at one of those guys?"
"No." I said, looking at her.
"Mhm, sure."
I rolled my eyes, taking a sip of my drink.

I saw someone approaching us and nearly choked.

"Um, hi, may I take your order?"
"May I just have number five with a side of mash potatoes." Kaelyn said.
He nodded, writing it down.

He turned towards me.

"What may I get you?"
"Um, uh, I'll just get number two please." I said, fiddling with my bracelet.

"Is that everything?"
We nodded.

"Okay, I'll be back in a bit with your orders." he smiled, grabbing our menus and walking away.

Once he smiled, my heart felt like it was going to burst.

"So that's who you were looking at." she smirked.
My face felt like it was heating up.

"What was number two?"
"Y/n, you forgot what you wanted, huh?"
"Yeah, so I just said a random number."
"You're an idiot."
"Shush, so are you. "

"You're not wrong, and I think it was some sort of burrito."
I nodded, fiddling with my bracelet.

"Do you know him?"
"Yeah, he's in my music class."
"What's his name?"
"Shawn." I said, smiling.

"Have you ever talked to him?"
"No, but he's so sweet." I gushed.
"You don't even know him-"
"At least he's the same age as me."

"Listen, Luke is only seven years older than me!"
"Yeah, but he's also in Australia! And he has a girlfriend!
"A girl can dream, geez."
I stuck my tongue out at her.

A few minutes later, the tall boy came out with our orders.

"Enjoy." he smiled.
"Thanks." we said.

"Also, if you guys need anything, just let me know."
"We will, thank you." Kaelyn said.
I saw him smile at me before he walked away.

"Did he just-was he just-"
"Yep, I ship."

"Kae, I'm going to scream-"
"Please don't."
"What if he likes me back?"

"He might, but I mean all he did was look at you for point zero two seconds."
"That's fair, but he's so cute."
"This is a big crush, eh?"
"Yep."

"Maybe you should talk to him."
"And say what?"
"I don't know. Just talk to him and tell him."
"Nope. I'm good."

"He's never going to be anything more than a crush if you don't talk to him."
"But what if he thinks I'm weird?"
"You are, but if he doesn't like you back, then you can move on and stop crushing on him."
"I guess you're right."

"Now, go!"
I took a deep breath before standing up and walking towards him.

"H-hey." I said.
He smiled, leaning over the counter.

"Y/n? Right?"
"Uh, yeah. Can I ask you something?"
"Sure. What is it?"

"I-I know you don't know me really well,  but I kinda really like you a lot and everytime I see you I feel like I can't breathe, and as stupid as it sounds, I can't stop thinking about you. I was wondering if you would like to go on a date sometime?" I said really quickly.

His eyes were wide.

"So I couldn't understand what you were saying, but you're really really sweet, but-"
"But?"
"But I don't know you all that well."
"Oh." I said, my face becoming red.

"So, yes, I would love to go on a date with you." he smiled.
"Wait, what?"
"I'd love to go out with you."
I squinted my eyes at him.

"Are you joking?"
"No, why?"
"You want to go out with me?"
"Yeah, why not?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." he said, laughing.

"Shawn, I need you to take table four's order!" someone yelled.
"Coming!" he yelled back. "I have to get back to work, but before you leave I'll give you my number. " he smiled, walking away.

My eyes widened and I felt like I was dreaming.

I walked back over to Kaelyn and she asked, "So what happened?"
"Guess who's going on a date with Shawn."
"Aw, dude, that's so exciting!"

"Am I dreaming?"
"Nope."
"Are you sure?"
"Mhm."

I became dazed and confused and Kaelyn just laughed at me.

Shawn walked passed us and gave me a smile.

"I can't wait for the wedding!" she yelled at him.
He turned his head around, confused, but kept walking.
I kicked her lightly under the table.
