[UNEDITED]

"Hannah." Shawn whined.
"What?"
"Can we please go see a movie?" he asked, laying on top of me.
"Is that really all you wanted to ask me?"
"No, I need to-wait, nope never mind."
"Dude, you can't do that."
"Oh, but I just did." he laughed.
I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, get up."
"Now?"
"Yes, come on."
I groaned as he pulled me off the couch.

"Mom! We're going to the movie theater! We'll be back in a bit!"
"Okay, have fun and stay safe!" My mom called from upstairs.

Shawn grabbed my arm and dragged me to his car.

"Woah, eager much?" I laugh.
"I'm exited!"
"What movie is it?"
"Star Wars." he said, beginning to drive.
"Shawn-"
"Let's me open minded now, Hannah." he laughed.
"Fine, but we need to buy popcorn."
"It's on me-"
"I'll buy the candy and drinks then."
"Fair."

Within twenty minutes we arrived at the movie theater.

"Skittles or Hershey's cookies and cream?"
"Cookies and cream!" he said as I grabbed a box of the chocolate.

"Extra butter?"
"Of course."

When we got all our snacks and paid for everything, we went into the section and sat down.

Skip movie

After we finished watching the movie, Shawn said, "So what did you think?"
"I actually liked it."
"Ha! I knew you would." he said, driving.

"Mhm."
"So, did anyone ask you to homecoming yet?"
"Nope. You?"
"Yeah, but I said no."

"Why?"
"Cause I have someone I want to ask."
"Spill."
"No."

"Shawn-"
"It's a secret." he said, smiling.

"But I want to know."
"I'll give you a hint. You know her."
"Hmm. Jenna?"
"Nope."
"Emilia?"
"No."

"Kaydence?"
"Nope."
"Holly?"
"I'm not telling you now!"
"Hmph. Fine."

"I'll tell you later, okay?"
"Sure."

"Anyways, are you sure you don't want to go?"
"I'm sure."
"But Hannah, it's our last one."
"There's no point in me going."
"But you'll have fun."
"I don't have a date."
"So?"

"I don't want to third wheel you and your soon to be date."
"I'll convince you eventually."

When we got back to my house, Shawn said, "Hold on I have something to show you."
He got out of his car and opened the trunk, pulling something out. He came over to my side door, opening it, revealing a bouquet of flower  in his hand.

"S-Shawn?"
"Hannah, I-I've always liked you. I know it may seem like a lot now, but I thought I should tell you. Ever since we are  kids you were my rock. You always made me feel better and honestly I couldn't ask for a better best friend. You mean the world to me. So, Hannah, will you go to homecoming with me?"
I couldn't speak.

I nodded.

Shawn smiled opening his arms and embracing me.

"I-I like you too."
"Great to know. Here these are for you." he said, handing me the flowers.
"Thank you." I laughed.

"Because I really like you, and I don't want to mess up, can we take this slow?"
I nodded.
He smiled.

"I guess I'm going to hoco after all."
