"Pereira, who do we know is a Pereira?" Aunt Cassie asked. "Melissa," I replied. "Wait, you don't mean Melissa is your sister, do you?" Aunt Cassie asked with a surprised look on her face. "Yes, she's my sister," I replied. "How did we not know this? She was with us all this time and we didn't know who she really was," Aunt Cassie said. "What about me? I've known her all my life yet I had no idea she was my sister," I said. "Well, what about your other sister? We should find out about her, too," Aunt Cassie said.
"Oh, right," I said, turning towards the TV, but the video was over. "We were speaking while the video was running, so now we had to watch it again," I said, putting it back on. I sent the video forward to where we discovered Melissa's identity. Mom started the next sentence with "Your other sister was adopted by a good friend who delivered the three of you at home since I wanted to keep the fact that I was having triplets a secret. She was a doctor and her husband was an art restorer. Three years after the birth of you three, her husband got a job in Paris at the Louvre, for art restoration. They left with your sister and that was the last I saw her. For a few years, I got calls and photos from them, but after a while, it all stopped and I couldn't even contact them. Maybe they were worried that I will want her back or they wanted to keep my influence away from her. I was heartbroken, but there was nothing I could do except take solace in having you with me and having Melissa around," she said.
All of a sudden, the phone started ringing; I stopped the video reluctantly to answer it. It was Melissa. She called to see how I was doing. "Melissa, I was planning on calling you, can you come over?" I asked. "Why? What's wrong?" She asked in a concerned tone. "Just come, I will tell you everything when you're here," I replied. "You're scaring me," she said. "No need to be scared, it's just something I need to show you. So please, come but don't worry," I said before hanging up.After that, I reached for the remote to put the TV on, but right then, the doorbell rang. It was Jared and Charlie. "What are you two doing here? Don't you have work?" I asked. "I am on my lunch break, so Charlie and I decided to check on you," Jared replied. "Why?" I asked. "Can't friends check on a friend in need?" Jared asked. "Well, come on in, you're in time for a treat, courtesy of my mom," I said. "What do you mean?" Jared asked, confused. "You'll see," I said, closing the door.
I asked Jared and Charlie to sit and as I reached for the remote, I was disturbed yet again. This time it was Brian. "About time you arrived," I said. "I know, I got some info about the soul seeker," he said. "What now?" Jared asked "It's what keeps attacking me as I sleep. Do try to keep up," I said and turned to Brian, asking "What's the info?" Brian said, "Soul Seekers are controlled by dark witches, so the reason it's after you is because a dark witch has sent it after you."
"Well, we know who that dark Witch is, don't we? We should have killed her at once," Aunt Cassie said. "Don't worry, Aunt Cassie, we'll stop her," I said. "Octavia," said a voice I knew very well from behind me. "Melissa," I said, hugging her tight; Aunt Cassie joined in, too. "What's going on? You're scaring me," Melissa said. "Sit," I said, pointing to a chair. "I'm going to play a video which will change your life, believe me. It was shocking for me, too," I said, playing it. "What? What do you mean?" She asked as mom appeared on the video. "This is your mother, what's going on?" she asked. "Just watch," I said. "When it came to the part about her, she looked at me dumbfounded and said, "No, this isn't true" and ran out. "Melissa, wait!" I shouted as she got in her car and drove off. "She took it well," Charlie said, trying to sound funny. "Not the time or place," Brian, I said annoyed. "We should get things ready for the spell," Aunt Cassie said. "How are we supposed to do the spell without my sisters?" I asked. "Melissa will be back when she finds out the truth from her adoptive parents. Now, let's find out the identity of your other sister," Brian said.
I put the video back on, and mom went on to say "The parents are Leila and Ronald Labroy and your sister is—"
As she said that, she was attacked by the monster. "Mom!" I yelled, shocked as I witnessed her murder for the first time. Brian quickly shut the video off. "Octavia," Aunt Cassie said, hugging me as I fell onto the floor in tears. "I knew that mom was murdered, but I never saw it happen," I said, pressing my head against Aunt Cassie's chest. "I know, honey, I'm shocked, too," she said. "Was that the Woldermonster?" I asked. "Yes," Aunt Cassie replied. "Well, I want to find it and kill it," I said in anger. "I know, and you will, with our help," she replied with determination.
