"What's happening?" Aunt Cassie asked in panic. "I don't know, maybe we recited the spell wrong," I replied. "No, we didn't. At least I don't think we did," said Aunt Cassie. "Well, let's try again," I said. We recited the spell yet again, but nothing changed. "Maybe she recited a counter-spell," I said.

"Who?" Aunt Cassie asked. "The dark witch," I replied. "But she was unconscious when we left," Aunt Cassie said. "She wasn't, entirely," I replied. "What do you mean? She was lying on the floor with blood seeping from her nose and eyes, remember?" Aunt Cassie asked. "Yes, but while we were leaving, I looked back and noticed her eyelids quiver," I replied. "Didn't you feel like sharing that information with us, preferably at that very moment?" Brian asked. "She was weakened and on the floor; I didn't think of her as a threat at the time," I replied.

"Honey, you are thinking with your heart, not your head," Aunt Cassie said, touching my shoulder. "What can I do? She is the spitting image of mom, and hurting her felt like hurting mom," I said with regret. "We need to go back and finish this once and for all," Brian said. "But you appear and disappear all the time, can't you teleport us out of here that way?" I asked. "I can, but first, we need to solve the problem at hand," he replied. "I don't want to kill her. But I could weaken her," I said. "Alright, but we need to at least bind her powers," Brian said. "OK," I said, and we went back to the cave.

She was expecting us. As we entered, she sent us flying against the wall. We got up and started chanting our spell, sending her up and banging her against the wall. She fell down bleeding again, and I used the Sleep Spell to put her to sleep. I then carried her and lay her on her bed and wiped off the blood trickling down her cheeks. As I turned to leave, I noticed something familiar around her neck. It was the same kind of chain Melissa's and I had. I was surprised to see the necklace with the crescent moon, just like Melissa's and mine, which mom gave us for graduation. 'How does she have this, coincidence? I'm not sure, but I will have to leave now before she wakes up,' I said to myself, walking away. I left confused and didn't notice reaching the Oak trees until Aunt Cassie tapped me on my shoulder, asking, "Octavia are you, alright?"

This stopped me from banging into an oak tree. I'm fine," I replied. We then chanted the spell and returned home. Aunt Cassie and I made the potion we made last time, but this time, with the witch's blood. We then administered the potion to Charlie via an injection syringe after putting him to sleep. Later, I woke him up with the Awakening Spell, but didn't let him out of the cage for precautionary reasons. I put away the remainder of the brew for an emergency.

We left the cellar and went to the living room, where we all sat down exhausted. Right then, my phone rang; it was Jared. He had called me several times, but I didn't notice as I was preoccupied with all the witchcraft. "Are you alright? Did you find the witch and get the blood?" He asked. "Yes, we did, and we already administered the cure. Now, we are waiting for the results," I replied, yawning. "I'll come over," Jared said. "Not now, we're going to sleep. You do the same and come tomorrow, after work," I said, hanging up without allowing him to protest.

Walking up the stairs, I asked Melissa if she was feeling alright. "Do you feel any different?" I asked. "Yes, Octavia, I'm fine. No meat cravings, although, I do have a strong craving," she said smiling. "Craving, what?" I asked panic-stricken. "Oh, for ice cream and chocolate," she replied coyly. "Very funny, you had me there," I said, slightly annoyed. "Why so serious?" she asked, smirking. "Well, there is ice cream and chocolate in the fridge if you want," I said as I reached my room. "Maybe in the morning," she said, walking past me into her room. "Good night, honey," Aunt Cassie said as she walked away. "Good night," I said, and went into my room.

I lay in bed trying to sleep, but sleep evaded me even though I was exhausted from all the witch duels. I couldn't stop thinking about the necklace and the dark witch who had an uncanny resemblance to my mother. I wish I looked that much like my mother. Even Aunt Cassie doesn't resemble mom that much. Engulfed in my thoughts and insecurities, I must have dozed off, for all of a sudden, I woke up for the sound of loud yelling, which made me land flat on the floor.
