"Why did you save me?" Anastasia asked. "Because you're our sister," I replied. "Sister, I have no sisters," she replied. "You do, that's why our mother sacrificed her soul in order to save you," I said. "But my parents are Leila and Ronald Labroy, and they didn't have any other kids," Anastasia said. "That's true, but they're not your biological parents; they are your adoptive parents," I said. "I don't understand," she said, sitting down.
I sat next to her and explained everything in detail. "So, she separated us to keep us from going dark yet failed," Anastasia said. "Yes, but now that you know the truth, maybe you can change—with our help of course," I said. "Is that even possible? I have done a lot of bad things and some of them were to you," she said. "Anything is possible as long as we are together," I said, hugging her while Melissa stood aside watching us. "Come on, get in on some of this action," I told Melissa. She rushed over and hugged us, and so did Aunt Cassie.
We went back home, this time, with both my sisters. There, Anastasia asked about the video which Mom made. "Melissa accidentally destroyed it, but I kept the pieces in hopes of returning it back to normal," I said. "I'll help," Anastasia said. "So will I," Melissa said, followed by Aunt Cassie. "Okay, let's get to work," I said, putting the pieces on the table.
After chanting for a while, we were able to get it all back together. We then fixed the TV and the DVR as well. After that, we played the video and, as it came to the part where Mom was killed, I stopped the video. "Why did you stop it?" Anastasia asked. "Because our mother was killed at the end," I said. "What, she was? I want to see it," she said. "Okay, as you wish," I said, handing her the remote and leaving the sitting room. While passing, I noticed Aunt Cassie look down with sad eyes.
I got in my car and drove aimlessly as I wasn't sure if I could forgive Aunt Cassie for her betrayal. I loved her—trusted her so much—and all the while she had this big secret from me; she killed my mother, her sister, in a jealous rage. 'How could she do that? And I thought I was dark,' I said to myself, feeling hurt and furious at the same time.
I was so furious that I almost ran over a dog. Trying to save it, I swerved into a tree. I got out of the car unhurt but was pulled up by a traffic cop who was there. I explained that I was trying to save the dog and ended up swerving into the tree, but he had seen the whole ordeal and knew that I was speeding. I chanted a fake memory spell under my voice, making him think that it was the dog's fault. He then let me go.
When I arrived home, I saw Anastasia and Melissa hugging each other and crying. I then went upstairs only to see Aunt Cassie packing. "Where are you going? Aren't you going to help us release Mom's soul?" I asked. "I want to, but I find it hard to stay here knowing how you feel about me," she said. "So you're bailing on us after killing my mother and deceiving me for years?" I asked. "I know that you think I am a monster, and I would give anything to change what I did, but I can't: all I can do is help you release your mother's soul, if you would let me," Aunt Cassie said.
Right then Anastasia entered the room saying, "You killed my mother? I will destroy you!"
She put her hands up, chanting. Aunt Cassie was thrown against the wall unable to move she was holding onto her neck, gasping for air while Anastasia continued to chant. "Anastasia, no; she is our Aunt and she didn't know what she was doing!" I said, trying to stop her. But she continued to chant as I watched Aunt Cassie's face turn pale. "Anastasia, stop!" I said, grabbing her hand; but she didn't; she sent me flying against the wall as well.
Melissa came in saying, "Anastasia, we are your family; don't do this!
But she was too powerfuland didn't listen to reason. Melissa too was volleyed across the room and ontothe wall. We were stuck, unable to move as Aunt Cassie fell down to the floor."No!" I screamed as I watched Aunt Cassie's body lay motionless on the floor.Anastasia stopped chanting, dropping us to the floor as she walked away.
