#19 - Love

Today was a very good day for Kudo Shinichi it seemed since he had just gotten his body back successfully and permanently just a few days ago.

He had also taken down the Black Organisation with the help of the FBI and Kaitou KID a few weeks ago resulting a few injuries here and there but nothing serious.

Even though his love life with Mouri Ran was crushed to dust after he revealed to her what had actually happened, he was still happy that he could still stay friends with her much to Suzuki Sonoko's disagreement.

He had gotten his life back and even though he missed a few friends that he had made as Conan, he was still grateful to be back to normal nonetheless.

Which was why he was standing right in front of Ekoda's high school quite impatiently waiting for a certain someone.

He heard the bell rang and soon enough, the voices of chatting high school students filled the ground, walking towards the school gate.

Some of them who had recognised him was slightly taken back by his presence, not knowing why he was standing there at their school.

He waved back at some people who waved at him kindly with a smile before shoving his hands in his pocket jeans, leaning against the concrete wall with a sigh.

"K-Kudo Shinichi?" he heard a familiar voice said, startled.

Shinichi grinned and cheekily salute at the blonde detective, Hakuba Saguru. "Hi."

"What are you doing here?" Saguru asked, shaking his outstretched hand politely. "Don't you have school today?"

"I did but I skipped because I just got back here in Tokyo. I was actually searching for someone-"

"S-Shinichi?" the person he was waiting for finally arrived. Kuroba Kaito looked at him as if he'd seen a ghost before running towards him in full speed.

"Shin-chan!"

The blue eyed detective laughed and wrapped his arms around the excited male tightly as the other hugged him tightly. "Hi, Kaito. Miss me?"

"Of course, you idiot!" he huffed, slapping Shinichi's arm lightly before pulling away slightly. "What are you doing here?"

"To see you, duh," he answered automatically. "I came straight to your school to see you as soon as I came back."

Kaito blushed before looking at a surprised Nakamori Aoko and a shocked looking Saguru. "Guys, this is my boyfriend!" he introduced. "Kudo Shinichi."

"Nakamori Aoko, Kaito's childhood friend and of course Kudo-kun knows Saguru-kun, Kaito's best friend," she introduced back and shook his hand with a smile.

The four of them talked for a bit more minutes before Shinichi excused themselves to go somewhere else. "It's a surprise," he said. Kaito snapped his fingers and changed his uniforms to casual clothes with a grin.

"Where are we going, Meitantei?" Kaito asked curiously as he climbed in Shinichi's antique and expensive sports car that Yukiko bought for him on his 15th birthday.

"Like I said, it's a surprise, dear. You'll know when we get there," Shinichi smirked as he drove off.

Kaito, despite having rode cars multiple times with Shinichi before, can never get himself used to the detective's manic driving that he had inherited from his drag racing queen of a mother as he found himself clutching his seat with dear life.

The car zipped pass through every other vehicles on the road as the driver ignored every road laws existed.

"I am never gonna let you drive ever again, Shinichi!" Kaito squeaked when the car made a sharp turn as soon as the words came out of his mouth.
