#30 - Everything

So this is it, guys. This will be the last chapter for this oneshot book. It's been a really fun road writing fanfics for you guys and it's been an absolute amazing journey. Some of you were really dedicated fans reading and commenting from chapter 1 to chapter 30. Every one of you is awesome and I'm so grateful that all of you read this trash. Thank you so much. This is the last chapter so I thought I might make it a little special to all of you.

Kaito woke up one clear Saturday morning with a soft whine, stretching his body flexibly like a cat. He, out of pure habit, groped the other side of the bed only to find it empty and cold, which meant the person was long since woken up.

He pouted as he blinked blearily at the empty spot, getting up slowly before he made his way towards the bathroom to freshen up and shower himself clean. As soon as he was done, he quickly throw in some clothes and hurried down the stairs to see if his boyfriend was there.

Much to Kaito's happiness, his boyfriend was indeed there in the kitchen, drinking his coffee while reading the newspaper silently. The younger male made a whimpering sound, padded towards Shinichi with a cute frown. Today he was feeling specially clingy and attention-seeking so he knew it was one of those days.

Shinichi, obviously knowing how to handle his clingy boyfriend, placed his coffee and newspaper down on the table before turning to look at him with a soft smile. Kaito wanted to be babied today, wanting to be taken care of, to be someone's responsibility for once and to be spoiled after. He knew he could trust and rely on his Shinichi to look after him.

The brunette detective wrapped his arms around the other male, bringing him to his lap without much of a thought. The magician sat and wrapped his arms around Shinichi's neck, burying his face in them."Hey.. Good morning, Kai," he greeted with a fond smile before cooing.

The said male blushed shyly, face bright red in colour. Even after months dating each other, Kaito still couldn't get himself to be accustomed to Shinichi's pampering. "You deserve some spoiling, Kaito," he had said to him. "Y-You deserve it too, Nichi.." he had said back.

But then Shinichi said, "I would be very happy and content to see you happy, Kaito. I would gladly spoil you rotten if it means you'll be happy. Your happiness is enough for me. Your happiness means everything to me." Kaito had been very grateful to him. Shinichi did spoil him rotten.

"Good morning, Nichi," Kaito greeted back with a bright smile when he was finally out from his thoughts. "Are we gonna do something today?" he asked. Shinichi rubbed his back just lightly, smiling. "I didn't plan anything for today, darling. Why? Do you wanna go out?"

Indigo orbs stared right into a pair of azure blue orbs as he lifted his head from Shinichi's shoulder. "Can we go out please, Nichi?" he asked with a hopeful expression. "Well, I was thinking that we could stay in but since you asked so nicely.. I don't see why not," Shinichi said, running a hand through his hair.

The both of them smiled at each other, a smile that no one had ever seen stretched on their faces except for the other. A smile that showed them being very much in love with one another. Eyes fond and their body relaxed, a show of trust. They belonged there, in each other's arms.

It's their home. No matter how far they were from one another, they always manage to come back. Home was not a place to them. It's the person they love. Kaito and Shinichi found home between them when everything went wrong to the both of them.

Ran left, moved on and started dating Eisuke when Shinichi let go of her, couldn't bear to be selfish and made her wait for him anymore. Aoko shut him out, started dating Akako when Kaito told her about Kaitou KID.
