Alternative of #20 - Sounds

Shinichi walked with Ran on their way back home from school, the usual route they usually take to go home, bored expression stuck to his face as his childhood friend and Sonoko talked about their respective boyfriends to each other.
He wondered briefly where the old Ran went to, the one where she used to blush at the word kiss and would shy away from romantic stuff. Huh, I guess we grew off our past self.
"Ne, Shinichi. Do you want to come along at Suzuki's Gala this Sunday? Everyone would be going, you know. I think your parents will be there too if I'm not mistaken," Ran said with a hopeful smile on her face, cutting Shinichi off of his thoughts.
Shinichi barely even blinked at her question before rejecting, "Pass. I'm busy having a date with my Hounds of Baskerville book. Besides, it's not like I have a date to go with or anything. You'll be going with Eisuke-san. Sonoko will go with Makoto-san. I'd rather stay at home."
Ran pouted and Sonoko snorted. "It's because that you kept burying your nose in those books was why you never had a date to begin with!" the blonde said.
"Please, Shinichi? I'm sure you'll find someone when you get there~ I want you to come along~ You need to socialise more!"
He felt slightly insulted that Ran implied his social skills needs any improvements but he knew she meant well. He sighed and opened his mouth to reply before hearing a soft voice singing by the lake below that made him stop his tracks.
"Shinichi? What's wrong?" Ran questioned, confused to why he stopped walking and stared at the person singing below them.
The said male hushed them and let the beautifully stunning voice washed over them. Shinichi knew this song. He went to watch the movie with Ran and Sonoko called The Greatest Showman.
"I'm trying to hold my breath,
Let it stay this way,
Can't let this moment end,
You set off a dream in me,
Getting louder now,
Can you hear it echoing?
Take my hand,
Will you share this with me?
'Cause darling without you.
All the shine of a thousand spotlights,
All the stars we steal from the night sky,
Will never be enough,
Never be enough.
Towers of gold are still too little,
These hands could hold the world but it'll,
Never be enough,
Never be enough,
For me.
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me.
Never enough,
Never enough,
Never enough.
For me,
