It was finally time for Hogwarts. I hoped I could see Draco again. I never had many friends but Harry growing up so Hogwarts was where I could change that.
I had read all the books inside and out which may have annoyed Harry. I was just very bored and excited.
Uncle Vernon dropped us off at Kings Cross Station and we walked around with our trolley. The ticket we had said Platform 9 and 3/4 but it wasn't to be found. Harry politely asked the conductor of one of the trains but was rudely shut down.
In the distance we heard a red haired woman say, "The station is always full and packed with muggles."
A line of children were following her so Harry and I did the same. I went up to the woman and asked, "Mrs. Could you tell us how to?"
"Get on the platform. It must be your first year. My son Ron is starting too." A boy our age with shaggy red hair awkwardly smiled at us and the woman continued, "To get on the platform, just run straight at the wall between platforms 9 and 10. You can do it in a bit of a run if you would like."
Two identical older boys also with red hair ran through the wall and Harry and I quickly joined them.
A girl a little younger than us who was holding the nice woman's hand looked at my neck and gasped, "You're Rebecca Potter! I'm Ginny Weasley. I've always wanted to meet you and your brother!"
It was weird having a fan since I had always been alone with Harry but I replied, "It's nice to meet you Ginny. How old are you?"
She replied, "I'm 10, I'm going next year."
I told her that she could write since I needed some girlfriends.
Later when we got on the train Harry and I found a compartment. We heard a knock on the door and the red haired boy from the station entered, "Do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full."
We welcomed him in and he sat down, "Hi, I'm Ron Weasley."
Harry then said, "I'm Harry Potter and this is my twin sister Rebecca."
I was waiting for Ron to geek out a bit and that's when he said, "Do you really have the scars?"
I nodded and pulled my hair from my neck and hair pulled up his hair on his forehead. He then replied,"Wicked!"
We hung out for a while when a brown haired girl walked in. "Has anyone seen a toad? A boy named Neville lost one." Ron was about to show us a spell and she said, "Oh, are you about to do magic let me see then,"
Ron tried but failed miserably and she replied, "Well that wasn't a very good spell. I've only tried a few simple ones but they've almost all worked for me. For example," she walked to my brother and pointed her wand at his glasses, "Occulus Reparo."
I was excited to meet someone else who had tried some magic, "Have you tried the levitation spell yet?"
"No, but I have tried to light my wand up but it wouldn't work."
"It's easy let me show you, wait what is your name?"
She stuck out her hand and said, "Hermione Granger, and you are?"
My brother and Ron answered and I said, "Rebecca Potter," taking her hand.
She stayed for a bit and I taught her how to do lumos. Hermione and I went to put on our robes but I instead of going back to the compartment went to see if I could find the boy from Flourish and Blotts. I looked until I found a compartment with a dark skinned boy, a girl with a scrunched up face and two mountainous boys but beside the dark skinned boy was the blonde boy from the bookshop. (Try saying that ten times fast)
I knocked on the compartment door and Draco got up and opened the door and let me in.
"I was wondering if you would come find me," he said.
The kinda pug looking one glared at me and sweetly, well you know flirtatiously, said to Draco, "Dracy, who is this girl?"
"This is Rebecca Potter. We met in a bookshop a few weeks ago." Everyone had went from slouching to sitting up real straight.
"But Dracy-Poo what about her blood status?" whined the pug girl.
"Parkinson, her blood status doesn't matter," Draco replied. Everyone but the dark skinned boy and one of the mountain boys gasped.
The dark skinned boy looked at Pansy and said, "Pansy, it's fine. Hi, I'm Blaise Zabini."
I heard a murmur from one of the mountainous boys who said, "I'm Goyle."
The other however stood up and said, "Hello Rebecca, I'm Vincent Crabbe but call be Crabbe. Vincent sounds stupid."
I sat down next to Draco and Blaise and said to Draco and asked, "Draco, what is blood status?"
"It means if you have magic or non magic parents. I have two magic parents so I'm pureblood. Your mum was a muggleborn and your dad was a pureblood so you are a halfblood."
"Why does blood have to do with anything?"
Blaise heard us and said, "It doesn't but families like mine and Draco's are stupid and call muggleborns, mudbloods."
     "What does that mean?"
"It means dirty blood. It's a curse word for muggleborns."
"To be honest," said Draco, "Up until a few weeks ago I thought they were scum."
I looked at him then to Blaise and Blaise quickly said, "Don't think less of him. He grew up like that. I remember one time he was with his mum and dad and there was a muggle boy who was talking to him. Draco's father hit him upside the head."
"That's horrible. Sounds like my aunt and uncle though but opposite."
     "What," Asked Draco.
"My aunt and uncle hate magic so when we were growing up we didn't know we were wizards, Harry and I. I take the blame though so Harry doesn't get hurt."
Draco then responded, "That sounds horrible."
     "That's just my life."
We talked for a while when I thought out loud for a second, "I just thought about something. My brother met this one kid in Madam Malkins a few weeks ago. I wonder who he is?"
Blaise responded, "Why do you ask?"
"Well, my brother thought he was horrid. Apparently he said he would bully his father into getting him a racing broom and that he hated muggleborns. I wonder if he's on the train."
I looked to my side and Draco was rubbing his neck and looking out the window.
Blaise asked, "What's the matter Draco?"
"Well, does your brother happen to wear round glasses and have shaggy black hair?"
     "Yeah, why do you.... Draco!"
"I'm sorry, it was before Flourish and Blotts. You made me see some reason. Key word some, I don't plan on being automatic friends with muggleborns since I have a feeling my father would hit me with his walking stick."
"Well as lovely as that sounds, now I know we will have a hard time being friends since Harry isn't the most forgiving person. Speaking of Harry, I wonder if he and Ron are alright."
Blaise then quickly asked, "Who is Ron?"
"Ron Weasley," I heard a hmph and looked to Draco and said, "What's the matter?"
"I can't stand the Weasleys. They hate our family."
"Come on give them a chance I mean look at muggleborns I made you see good in them."
"You may be very persuasive but that will not be happening."
"Fine," I replied, "You and Harry are going to be enemies real fast. You made him mad at the robe shop and you don't like Weasleys who the boy that my brother is kinda best friends with is a weasley not to mention that we met a nice muggleborn girl and I know you are slowly opening up to that but still."
Blaise looked at me and said, "Yeah, Draco, we aren't even at the school yet and you already have an enemy."
"How do you feel if we were enemies, Rebecca?"
"Keep it to yourselves around me and I may let it slide."
They laughed and I already felt like I belonged.
