Rebecca PoV
I've been back a month and nothing has really happened since my run in with my fears. Well except now it's October and I hate October. For more than one reason.
1- like muggles around Christmas, witches and wizards overcommercialize Halloween.
2- I can't enjoy Halloween without thinking that my mom sacrificed herself for me and my dad sacrificed himself for all of us
3- everyone is going to hogsmeade without me and Harry. My own boyfriend might be leaving me alone.
Tomorrow was in fact Halloween and would most likely be a bad day.
Draco wanted to take me on a date to keep my mind off of what happened 13 years ago but I can't go.
Draco, Nicole, Blaise, and I all walked in line to turn in our slips but of course mine wasn't signed.
Draco turned in his first, followed by Blaise, and Nicole.
I got up to Professor Snape and looked down, "My slip isn't signed Professor."
He smiled, "Don't worry Miss Potter, your Uncle told the Headmaster that you would be allowed to go."
He took my slip and set it in the parchment pile.
I thanked him and left. I turned to Draco, "That was wierd wasn't it?"
Draco smiled, "Who cares, I get to take you on a date."
I lightly kissed him on the cheek and told him I had to get dressed.
I ran into Harry on the way down to the dungeons.
Harry looked upset do I asked, "What is wrong, Harry?"
He looked up, "I still can't go to Hogsmeade since I have to have it signed."
I replied, "Did Uncle Vernon not tell Dumbledore you could go to. Professor Snape told me Uncle Vernon contacted Dumbledore."
Harry sighed, "No, as much as I wish I could go."
I looked at him and said, "If you want me to not go I can stay here."
Harry gently smiled, "No, it's fine. I want you to have fun even if I can't."
I kissed my little brother on the cheek and said goodbye.
I got dressed and met Draco outside.
He walked me to a small pub called the Three Broomsticks. We sat down and he bought me a butterbeer which was my new favorite drink.
"So, what is your favorite class this year?" Draco asked.
"Um, I really like defense against the dark arts. Professor Lupin is really nice and he actually teaches us something. What about you?"
"Well per usual I like potions and I also like Lupin's class even though he doesn't look very professional."
I smacked him, "That isn't very nice. He probably can't help that."
He laughed, "Your right but was it necessary to hit me."
I shrugged, "I mean yeah."
I expected for him to laugh but instead he stared at the doorway of the pub.
Without looking at me, he whispered, "You have to get out of here."
I looked slowly to the door and walking in was, Lucius Malfoy.
Lucius was looking around so I hid under the table and ran out from under when he was looking the other way.
Draco stood up at the same and we knocked each other down.
Luckily, Draco had a plan. When he stood up, as bad as it felt, he shouted obnoxiously, "You stupid half-breed. How dare you get in my way."
He gave me a look that told me to play along.
"Well, Malfoy," I snarled, "Maybe you should have watched your way."
We both went opposite ways and I walked out of the Three Broomsticks.
I ran away to Hogwarts as fast as I could before someone who I knew knew about Draco and I spilled it to Lucius.
I rushed into the castle and stopped right in front of the nearest classroom.
The door opened and I looked to the door and there was Harry and Professor Lupin.
"Miss Potter?" Asked Lupin.
"Yes, sir?" I replied.
"Would you like to come inside?"
Harry raised his eyebrows and I responded, "Yes, I would like to."
We went inside and I began, "I'm sorry for interrupting but may I ask why Harry was here?"
Harry replied, "Professor Lupin, invited me in to show me something and we were talking. Why aren't you with Draco?"
I scanned the room for anyone other than Harry and Professor Lupin. I whispered, "Draco's father made an appearance and I had to leave as soon as possible."
Professor Lupin questioned, "Are you talking about Draco Malfoy?"
I never got to respond since Professor Snape walked in and handed Lupin a potion.
My eyes widened considering I knew what that potion was.
After a while Harry decided to leave but I decided to wait to find out what Professor Lupin would need this potion for.
"Rebecca, is something wrong?"
I looked at him with worry and concern in my eyes, "Professor, why did Professor Snape give you wolfsbane potion?"
Lupin sighed, "I knew that it would be hard to hide from Lily's daughter. She knew potions too."
I asked quietly, "Are you a werewolf?"
He nodded, "Yes, Rebecca but please don't tell anyone. Dumbledore has set up many precautions for me. I am usually quite fine as long as I take the potion which I wouldn't if it weren't for Severus's kindness as to make this for me."
"Does it hurt?" I ask gently, "You and Professor Snape are my favorite teachers and it isn't fair that you have to have this," I paused, "And don't worry about your secret. I trust you."
Later that night, I woke up to plenty of yelling and screaming when suddenly I heard Charlotte McConnell, our prefect, tell us to get out of beds and to the Great Hall.
For I fact, Sirius Black was in the castle.
