Chapter 11: This can't be Good-Bye6 Months had passed, and it was close to the magic day where Amys baby would soon be born.Sonic and Amy was sat on the sofa watching T.V, Sonic always looked at Amy in worry. What caught Sonics eyes was her rosey red cheeks, "Amy are you ok..." Amy looked up at him breathing slowly, "i'm fine..." Sonic put his hand on her forehead, "Amy your nurning up...why didnt you tell me you were sick..." Amy looked up at him, "Because..I didnt want to worry you..." Sonic laughed slightly, "Amy..I have been sat here for the past couple days worried..." Amy smiled, Sonic lifted her up and walked upstairs, he lay her on the bed, "You have to get some rest..." Amy smiled and nodded. 2 Days past, it was only three days until the due date of the birth, Amys fever had gotten worse, Amy slept most of the time, but Sonic hated waking her up, but he had to so she could eat.Sonic went upstairs to check on Amy but she wasnt there, "Amy!?" he ran to the bathroom, "Amy..." he seen Amy sat beside the bath, "Amy!" he ran over to her worried, "Are you ok..." Amy was breathing heavily, "Its just stomach pains...dont worry.." Sonic started panicing, "Its not the baby is it! Is the baby coming!?" Amy grabbed Sonics hand, "No its not its just small pains I will be fine..." Sonic was still worried, he lifted her up and went back to the bedroom and lay her on the bed, Amy held Sonics hand, "Sonic...stop worrying..." Amy smiled, "I have a feeling this birth will be successful...I want this baby to have a great life with us.." Sonic smiled, "Yeahh I know...We will be great parents wont we..." Amy closed her eyes,"Yes.." Amy then fell asleep.The next day, Amys fever was worse then before, if she moved she would always fall back, or feel faint. Later that night, Amy was in the livingroom, all her friends came to visit her, Amy then felt wet. She gasped when she seen that her water broke, she then felt a pain in her stomach, "Amy!" Cream and Rouge ran to her side. Tails ran over to Sonic, "Sonic! Its Amy!" Sonics eyes widened, "No...Not now!" Sonic ran through and seen Amy screaming. Sonic ran over to her and grabbed her hand, "Someone call an Ambulance! I dont want move her incase I hurt her!" Tikal ran over to the phone and called an ambulance, Vanilla walked over to Amy, "Okay Amy I want you to breathe in and out slowly okay..." Amy nodded, she started breathing in and out slowly but screamed every now and then.Sonic held her hand at all times, 15 minutes later the Ambulance arrived, they lay Amy on a bed and put her in the Ambulance, Sonic went into the ambulance, "Sonic we will meet you at the hospital!" Tails shouted as Sonic closed the doors, "Thanks buddy!" When they arrived the nurses put Amy in a wheelchair and wheeled her into a room, Sonic followed her.Sonic went into the room to find Amy laying on the bed, with her legs up screaming in pain, "Sonic!" Sonic ran over to her and grabbed her hand. "Dont worry Amy Im here! I will always be by your side!" Amy started sweating, she screamed again, "Okay Amy push" Amy did as she was told and started pushing, she screamed again in pain, "Amy your doing fine!" Amy looked at Sonic while breathing heavily, she smiled slightly and started screaming and pushing again.3 Hours had past and Amy was still labour, she kept screaming in pain, Sonic was soon ready for giving up, he thinking that there was no end to it, that the baby was never going to come.But his hope came back as soon as he heard the cry of a small baby, Sonic looked up at the doctors and nurses, Sonics friends came into the room when they heard a baby crying.They handed Sonic the baby, Sonic looked at Amy, "Amy?" Amys eyes were closed, Sonics eyes widened, he grabbed her hand. "Amy...wake up...please.." Amys eyes opened halfway, "Son..ikkuu.." Sonic had tears in her eyes, "Amy shes here! Its a beautiful baby girl!" Amy looked around, "She's here...our baby girl...we're finally a family.." "Yes.." "Look..." Sonic showed Amy the baby, the baby had light purple fur and short quills, the baby continued to cry."You did great.." Amy smiled a little, "Yes..she's very cute..." Nurses and Doctors raced around, they grabbed an oxygen tank, with an oxygen mask. "Do you remember what we were going to call her if she was girl..." Sonic said as his tears fell from his eyes, Amys eyes were slowly closing, "Yes..her name will be..Shori..." Sonic smiled at her, "Once you get better..we can take Shori to the park..." Amy smiled, "Yes...we can have some much fun...at the park..." Amy closed her eyes, "Shori..will have fun at all different places....and we will be with her..." Sonic still smiled with tears in his eyes, "..You really did it..."Amy opened her eyes, her vision started to blur, "Yes...but I'm a little tired...please let me rest for a while..." Sonic held her hand tighter, Sonic could here Cream and Tikal crying, Rouge was looking away, Knuckles was upset but slightly angry, "Why are you all standing there! Help her!" Vanilla was looking down, "Amy...""Dont go Amy..Please.....How about we talk some more...you can just listen okay..." Sonic looked down at Shori who was still crying, "Shori...Its Daddy..." Sonic looked down at Amy, "And...over there is Mommy..." Sonic wiped his tears, he laughed slightly, "She ignored me...I guess I'm not really goot at it am I..." Amy opened her eyes smiling, sweat dripping off her face. "Amy..Please Dont leave me here alone....I need you..." Amy still looked at Sonic, Sonic placed Shori next to Amy, Amy turned and looked at her baby. "Shori..." Sonic smiled but started crying, Amys eyes were slowly closing she tried her best to keep them open."Im glad I got to see Shori...I dont think Im going to make it..." The Nurse looked at the Doctor, the Doctor nodded, the nurse placed the Oxygen mask on Amy. "Amy..." Amy still smiled, "..I wish that my Mom and Dad were here...then Shori..will have Grandparents..." Sonic smiled, "I bet they're really proud of you..." Amy had tears in her eyes, "Yes...right now..I see you waiting for me...holding Shori..." Sonic looked at Amy with a shocked expression, "Amy..." "Everyone is there waiting for me...your waiting for me...because you came back...I want to see you...and hold Shori in my arms.." The nurse took Shori away from the bed and handed her to Vanilla, "Dont Go! Amy!" Sonic shouted as he tightened his grip on her hand again, "Im so happy...that you came back..waiting for me to run after you again...like we used to..." "Amy! Dont Go! You dont have to chase me anymore! You know that I will always love you! Now and Forever!!" Sonic shouted as tears were flowing from his eyes. Amys eyes slowly closed, Sonic gripped his chest, "Amy stay with me Please! Stay by my side! I need you!!" Sonics eyes widened as he shouted, "When your not with me my heart hurts!! I dont want that! So Please Stay With Me!" In Amys mind she was walking towards everyone, "Everyone...your here..."In the hospital Amy turned and faced Sonic, Sonic had his face hidden because he was crying, he gritted his teeth as he was crying, "Its my fault...I never looked after you...because of the fever and the pain of the birth your body..grew weaker.." Amy smiled, Sonic heard Amy breathe her last breath, he looked up and seen Amys eyes closed, she wasnt breathing, "..A..Amy.." Sonic lifted her hand and let go, her hand slowly fell onto the bed.Sonic eyes widened, his tears fell from his eyes, '..Amy since we first met..you were always by my side...through the good times and the bad...together we made a promise to never leave each other...no matter what..but that one time I broke that promise but I came back...right Amy...'"Amy...AMY!!" Sonic then hugged Amy, while crying. '..I should never have confessed my feelings to you...then you would still be here...and Shori would never have been born...Then everything would have been fine...'
