Chapter 8: Master.Amy and Sonic smiled at each other, "Amy...maybe you should get some sleep..." Amy looked at him worried, "but!-""Don't worry...I will watch over you...both of you..." Sonic smiled again, Amy blushed slightly, she nodded, "Thank you..." Amy lay down next to Shori, Amy looked at Shori, with sad and concerned eyes. Shoris chest rose very slowly, her fever was only getting worse. Amy took hold of Shoris small hand, and held it close, "no matter what...I will Protect you Shori..." Amys eyes slowly closed, as she gradually fell asleep,"I Promise..." - - -6 Weeks went by and Shoris illness didn't show any sign of going away, was Sonics dark power so strong that it could make her this weak?They didn't know, but she woke up from time to time with a headache. 3 Week after she developed the fever, Shori had trouble eating solid foods, the only thing that kept her going, was ice cold water. Shori was laying on her bed, Amy and Shori were still at the hotel, Amy was scared to carry Shori out into the cold air, incase it would make her feel worse, and Blaze insisted that she'd stay until Shori was better. Shori was playing with her teddy, her cheeks rosey red, Amy was sat on the bed watching her, Amy always fell asleep, but woke up straight away, she hadn't been getting a lot of sleep recently because she was watching over Shori. Sonic visited nearly everyday, but Shori would never speak to him, not even look at him. This hurt Sonic but he knew he deserved it. Amy heard the door open, she looked up and seen Sonic, he smiled slightly, "Heey..." Amy smiled slightly, "hey..." Shori heard her dad come in, she continued to play with her teddy. Sonic looked at Shori, "heyy Shori...how are you feeling..." Shori didn't answer him, Sonic smiled slightly, "do you feel any better..." Shori nodded slightly, Sonic smiled bigger, "That's good...when you get better...me and you can go to the park...what do you say...?" Shori looked at Sonic, and back at her teddy, "...not...with out...Mommy..." Sonic still smiled, "Ofcourse...Mommy will be there with us...right Mommy..." Amy smiled and nodded, "Yeah..." Shori tried standing up, "it will be another family day out...right Shori...?" Shori never answered, Amy looked down at Shori confused. Shori felt dizzy as she stood up, she started breathing heavily, as she fell back. Sonic and Amy gasped, Sonic caught her in his arms. Shori had her eyes closed, still breathing heavily, by the amount of movement. Sonic looked down at her worried, "Shori..." Shori looked up at Sonic, with sad eyes, she missed being her daddys arms. "T...Trip..." Sonic looked at her confused, "what..." Shori smild slightly, "I...want to go...on a...Trip..." Amy looked at her, Sonic smiled, "when your better Shori..." Shori looked at with sad eyes, "I...want to go...now..." Amy smiled at Shori, "we can't...Shori...your not well...ok?" Shori nodded.Shori closed her eyes and fell asleep in Sonics arms, Sonic looked at Amy, Amy was smiling at him. Sonic smiled too, Sonic stood up and lay Shori on the bed. He grabbed the covers and pulled it over Shori, to keep her warm. Amy lay down at the bottom of the bed, Sonic lay down beside her. He smiled, he took hold of Amys hand, Amy held his hand tight. Amy closed her eyes, a few tears fell from her eyes. Sonics smiled disappeared, he wipped away Amys tears but the fell faster."Amy...please don't cry...It's my fault this happened..." Amy opened her eyes and looked at him shocked, "what...?" Sonic looked away, "it's my fault...I never wanted my dark powers to be passed down to Shori...it would've been better if she had a different dad...and you could love someone better than me..."Amy closed her eyes tight, "Don't say such things!" Sonic looked at her, Amys tears fell faster. "I'm glad that I love someone like you! and I'm glad I have Shori! No matter what kind of power she has!...she is still my daughter...and I could never love anyone else...even if you do hurt me...I will never stop loving you." Amy looked at Sonic, blushing, Sonic looked at her shocked, he lay his head on her chest. He closed his eyes, "Thank You." Amy still blushed, her eyes widened in surprise. Amy smiled and place her hand on his spikey quills, she stroked his quills slowly. Sonic missed her warm embrace, Amy closed her eyes, she gradually stopped stroking his quills as she heard him lightly snoring, Amy herslef fell asleep too. While Shori was sleeping, she started breathing heavily again. She felt a slight pain in her head, tears filled Shoris eyes, because of the pain. She heard a dark cruel voice in her head, "Shori...Shori...it's nearly time...come to me..." The pain in Shoris head slowly disappeared, she opened her eyes slowly, her eyes were dull, like she had no life in them. She sat up, "Shori...hurry..." Shori looked out the window, "Yes...Master Mephiles..."
